Snowfire Trailers

A little girl living on an isolated ranch claims to have formed a bond of friendship with a pure white, "wild" stallion. The horse is well known in the area, almost legendary, and supposedly vicious. Is she just making it up, or is she telling the truth? If it's real, isn't it dangerous for her with a "killer" horse? Or is the horse as vicious as he's been portrayed?

Good films always raise compelling questions, whether the format is fiction or documentary fact.

A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.

This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.

I saw this movie when I was about 4 or 5 years old but only once! Though I forgot most of the plot - remembering little more than that it was about a dark haired girl called Molly and a beautiful white horse named Snowfire - I never forgot how much I loved it although I couldn't remember exactly why. So I searched for it off and on over the years, but nobody ever seemed to have heard of it. Then yesterday on a whim, I looked again and landed a virtual goldmine of hits on google, mostly fans like myself who long to see the film again. Upon reading the plot line, and looking at some of the clips I found, I realized how profoundly this film affected me, even at that very young age. The purity of Molly's unconditional love for the wild horse is in stark contrast to the selfish desire of those around her who want to possess him. It reminded me of a poster I used to have on my wall as a teenager..."If you love something, set it free, if it comes back its yours, if it doesn't, it never was." How wonderful that so many people remember this beautiful film and long to see it again. Not many films have such a deep affect on such a primal level to so many people - but that is just what a good film should do. What it says about having faith in what you know in your heart, the courage to act upon it and the willingness to let go of those you love is timeless.

My wife really loved Snowfire as a child and I read that WGN in Chicago used to air it occasionally on their "Family Classics" program. I've read so many comments here, and on other sites from Snowfire fans, that I am anxious to see the movie myself. I just e-mailed WGN and requested that they offer it for sale on their website -or at the very least schedule it for airing, as there are obviously many hundreds of fans looking for the movie. For such a small, insignificant film, it has apparently left a huge positive impact on it's viewers.May I suggest that any fan of Snowfire do the same. If we can make WGN realize that Snowfire has a large and vocal fan base, maybe they will agree to air this beloved movie again. If enough people respond to them, I'm convinced that they'll listen.

Please contact me if anyone has any form of this movie! It's my very favorite movie from childhood, and I was deeply touched when I first viewed it in all it's magestic glory. Granted, the "branding scene" seems a bit harsh now, but during the innocence of that time, it was just part of the movie, for symbolism of what the horse meant to the girl...it had really no other weird conotations. Anyway, I will keep looking, (maybe on E-Bay?) and please let's keep each other posted on possibilities for getting this movie for viewing! Thanks,Pamatsalem@yahoo.com

I saw the 'Snowfire' movie as a young child. Since then, I have been completely in love with horses. My life has been devoted to helping forgotten horses, and I have owned many horses throughout my life. Now, I collect, sculpt, and paint model horses as a hobby in my spare time. I sincerely wish someone would release the movie 'Snowfire' on DVD so everyone could view it. There are lots of us 'Snowfire' fans out there that dearly want to see this movie once more. Please, if anyone is reading this... write a letter to Warner Brothers to request them to release Snowfire. It'll only happen when several of us keep trying!! So please, please don't give up!! It is ridiculous that B states that this movie is too "politically incorrect" to release!! They are just too lazy to do it... You find much more violence, nudity, political incorrectness, abuse, etc, etc.. on TV during hours when children are still awake, much less in movies and videos, DVD's, etc.. So what's the big deal with releasing Snowfire? Come on Warner Brothers, give us a realistic answer, or just release the movie for Pete's sake!! Diane
