The Worst Film Ever
... View MoreDreadfully Boring
... View MoreClose shines in drama with strong language, adult themes.
... View MoreIt's a movie as timely as it is provocative and amazingly, for much of its running time, it is weirdly funny.
... View MoreNever heard of it. Came across it on Netflix. This is one of the best pulp fiction crime movies I have seen in a long time. It's both gritty and funny in parts. The characters are awesome and the story and pacing just roll.Definitely recommend.
... View MoreThe acting was excellent. The story kept you interested in the movie. A must watch!
... View MoreI wasn't expecting a kick ass movie, but that is what I got!!! John Hawkes plays an ex cop, Mike, ex cop because he was slightly lit during a simple traffic stop that went way out of hand and included the deaths of three people, one being his partner. Mike has been trying to get back on the force however that's not gonna happen, especially when you wake up each morning not knowing where the hell you are. And its on one of these mornings that Mike wakes up in a field, finds his car, and on the way home discovers a dying woman on the side of the road, after taking her to the hospital, she still dies tho, and left her cell phone in his car, which of course he goes through... and through the skills he learned with the force, he thinks he can solve this crime, one beer at a time. He creates a new name for himself and calls himself a private eye, and jumps right on in too the case, which involves the rich, hit-men, and prostitutes and pimps with hearts. It really was a cool crime thriller... my guess if it was made in the 70's, Steve McQueen would've been cast as Mike. Great supporting cast, Anthony Anderson, Clifton Collins Jr, Octavia Spencer and Robert Forster pops up as Mike's financial supporter and sniper!! Awesome flick, check it out!! Filmbufftim on FB.
