I like movies that are aware of what they are selling... without [any] greater aspirations than to make people laugh and that's it.

The performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.

There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes

Its undoubtedly the worst movie of Mr Ajay devgan in the recent times. I could have given it a min 1 star but 2 are given due to some better CGI effects. The story, the acting, the casting all are awful. The current stream of movies from Bollywood is becoming a crap mostly due to non serious stories and scripts. The only good movies are coming from Amir Khan who decides to make movies based on some moral in them. But rest all including Salman Khan, Shah rukh khan and Ajay are sadly sinking in all the departments. I don't recommend this movie except if you have 2 to 3 hours ready for waste.

Great effort from Ajay Devgan, but lacks great story. Felt like the movie was dragged for no good reason. The shots, locations, scenes are amazing, but the story has no substance. The title has nothing much to do with the character. The villain is not strong enough, neither in acting, nor in the role given to him. The loooooong chase is boring. Movie seriously tests patience at times. Songs are okay, not great. Erika gaar (olga) and Sayyeshaa Saigal (anushka) look good, not great at their performance. Vir Das does a good job. Abigail Eames (Gaura) delivers a good performance. If the movie was well edited, it could have been cut down to not more than half-an-hour. Story is very very outdated. Overall, one time watch if you have nothing better to do.

So! What exactly should i start with? All I can say is 'Shivaay' resembles a title i.e. BOLLYWOOD AT IT'S BEST GUYS!!! And hats off to the only man Ajay Devgn who at least tried putting an effort to raise the level of this industry by gifting such an epic movie like Shivaay. You talk about acting, you talk about story, you talk about on-screen connections, emotions or bonds, then I must tell you this is a movie that has completely lived up to the marks. The movie will keep you on a hold from the very first scene and until the final scene you cannot even make a guess that till what conclusion is it actually going to come. And the action scenes of course will just leave your mouths opened and eyes caught. The name of lord Shiv perfectly used and blended according to the title. So fellas, Here comes on your way Shivaay, the best of Bollywood and Ajay Devgn you will get to see. Not just worth missing!
