Fantastic!
... View MoreI wanted to like it more than I actually did... But much of the humor totally escaped me and I walked out only mildly impressed.
... View MoreGreat story, amazing characters, superb action, enthralling cinematography. Yes, this is something I am glad I spent money on.
... View MoreExactly the movie you think it is, but not the movie you want it to be.
... View MoreThe first film trended widely on social media, it was said to be "so bad it's good", I personally just found it bad, so why they decided to make a follow-up sequel is anyone's question, but it happened, and I watched to see what was in store. Basically Fin Shepard (Ian Ziering) and his ex-wife April Wexler (Tara Reid) are on a plane bound for New York to promote their book How to Survive a Sharknado and Other Unnatural Disasters, the plane is coming in to land when a storm strikes, the storm includes another sharknado, many passengers are killed by the plane breaking up and airborne sharks attacking. Fin's sister, Ellen Brody (Kari Wuhrer), is sightseeing New York with her family, while her husband and Fin's childhood friend Martin (American Idol's Mark McGrath) takes their son Vaughn (Dante Palminteri) to a baseball game, along with friend Skye (Independence Day's Vivica A. Fox), Ellen takes their daughter Mora (Courtney Baxter) to the Statue of Liberty, where she meets with friends Polly (Salt-N-Pepa's Sandra 'Pepa' Denton), who tell her about Fin's flight. At the airport, Fin warns about the impending storm, no-one takes him seriously, while April goes to hospital for her hand that was bitten off, Fin goes to the ball game, and soon enough the game is cancelled due to the oncoming storm, and sharks start falling from the sky and attacking. Chrissie is killed on the ferry back to Manhattan, the remaining three flee from the severed head of the Statue of Liberty, meanwhile the subway tunnels are flooded, Ben the cab driver (Judd Hirsch) takes Fin and the others to a place to find weapons and things to make explosives, the street floods, Skye, Vaughn and Martin swing to safety, Ben is killed, and Fin uses the tops of sharks like stepping stones to reach them. Two sharknadoes are converging into a more powerful storm, Fin and Skye head to roof of a hotel in attempt to bomb them, Polly is flattened by a whale shark, but Ellen and Mora reach Martin and Vaughn, the bombs blowing up do not work as the wind is too cold. April has fled the hospital and joined them, a third tornado is swirling around the Empire State Building and is expected to merge with the other two, Fin plans to use the top of the tower and the electric current of the lightning to freeze the storm, while people on the ground fight the sharks. Skye sacrifices herself to connect the cables, an explosion occurs, Fin is sucked into the twister, he fights his way through the sharks until he is hanging onto one by a chain, it is impaled on the building's antenna. Fin reunites with April, who has lost her arm from one of the fallen sharks, he finds April's severed hand with her wedding ring on it, he proposes they marry again, she accepts. Also starring Billy Ray Cyrus as Doctor Quint, Andy Dick as Officer Doyle, Jared Fogle as Jared from Subway, 30 Rock's Judah Friedlander as Bryan, Airplane's Robert Hays as Captain Bob Wilson, Perez Hilton as Impatient Passenger, Richard Kind as Harland 'The Blaster' McGuinness, Kelly Osbourne as Flight Attendant, Robert Klein as The Mayor, Stand by Me's Wil Wheaton as Airplane Passenger, Matt Lauer, Al Roker, Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan. There's nothing really positive you can say about the acting in it, some well known faces you can tell are not taking it seriously, but just like the first film this is deliberately trashy and absurd, perhaps more so than previously, the special effects are cheap, and you can still see normal things going on in the background of all the "action" scenes, I admit I laughed a bit more than the last, because of how ridiculous and idiotic it is, not a sequel to bother with, an unintelligent science-fiction horror. Poor!
... View MoreI knew that this was going to be bad and it was just repeating itself again and again and that the acting was going to be bad too and that cameo's would appear by 'famous' actors from the horror genre and that the effects would be ridiculous from the beginning like a lot of CGI used for an airplane and for the sharks itself and I knew that it would be from the cheapest CGI you will come across and I also knew that the teeth of Tara Reid would be new and attract you from the movie and I also knew that continuity doesn't exist at all in this flick. I also knew that it was impossible at all and that a lot of folks would hate this flick but I also knew that this is Sharknado 2 that that you will love it or hate it....enjoyGore 0,5/5 Nudity 0/5 Effects 1/5 Story 2/5 Comedy 0/5
... View MoreActually this was a fun film with quick pacing and some interesting CGI effects. However, the newscasters and the TV news shows saved this from being the run of the mill 'disaster' film.I cracked up when Al Roker and Matt really gave a great, great comic yet believable relief from an otherwise run of the mill disaster film. Add their special weather graphics and the movie is worth watching for just this part. Truly funny.IN ADDITIONThe move likes quips but could have been improved by a few tweaks.1)Kelly use her sky high red heels to kill one shark, it was forewarned in an early segment by her showing off her red heels to her co-host. What was needed was a slow motion CU shot of those red high heel coming down on to the shark's head and in slow motion with appropriate sound effect. We could almost hear the shark saying nooooooooo.2)The hero uses a chain saw in one scene to split a shark in half, lengthwise. I expected him to do the "chain saw dance" like in the chain saw movies, but he never did.3)Great scene in the pizza place where a shark comes in and the owner bats the shark into a pizza oven. I expected him to put up a sign that says: "NEW, Shark Pizza soon".4)In one scene the hero says to his friend, "we need a bigger bomb', she should have said, "yeah, like Heavens's Gate".There were some of these missed opportunities, but overall a fun, fast moving film with good homages to other similar movies. View the extra features for some inside info. Well directed and with great cameos. I enjoyed it.
... View MoreNever will I EVER understand why anyone would like this pitiful piece of garbage! I can't believe Sharknado being such a crappy movie in the first place was even able to get a sequel! It makes me sick to think that there are actually people out there who enjoyed this movie! If you are one of those people, you are VERY easily entertained! For anyone who hasn't seen this movie (if you can even call it a movie) yet, I would advise you not to because it is one of the biggest piles of horse crap I have ever seen and I curse the day that they decided to make it (same goes for Sharknado 1)! To anyone that plans on watching this movie even after reading this review, prepare for a terrible poop storm of a movie!
