Sepultura: Under Siege (Live In Barcelona) Trailers

Brazilian speed-thrash-death metal band Sepultura are legendary for the extreme degree to which they delve into the depths of their genre. Always striving to be louder, faster, and deadlier (metaphorically, of course), Sepultura have inspired a countless number of modern metal bands as well as legions of obsessive fans. Under Siege was filmed live at Zeleste in Barcelona, Spain. For nearly an hour, Sepultura thrash through ten of their songs.

Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.

If the ambition is to provide two hours of instantly forgettable, popcorn-munching escapism, it succeeds.

This concert shows everything that Sepultura had in them. The crowd breaks down the whole place while Igor plays his killer drums, even Max his riff's are very tight. Every person gets crazy during this concert, it's how it should be! The energy between the band and the crowd is huge. The sound is really good for such an old video. They play all the best songs they've made on that point, much faster than on their CD'S, it's total madness. Meanwhile you get a view behind the band, every member tells personal- and band info. You get a good impression of the members of the band, an how their magic works. When you're into thrash metal, you can't miss this one!

Probably one of Sepultura's best live appearances. Recorded '91 when they, in my opinion, where at the top.The set-list is great but it doesn't include any surprises. Mostly very common live songs. The superb sound truly shows the audience what Sepultura really can do. They are young, hungry and very tight (even Max's guitar). As Max (or Igor, don't remember) says on the DVD, the crowd is a big part of the show, and you can tell when you see this gig. They bring speed and heaviness in an aggressive way, just the way thrash metal should be. So if you're a metal-fan, take a look, it's sooooo worth it...
