A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.

Each character in this movie — down to the smallest one — is an individual rather than a type, prone to spontaneous changes of mood and sometimes amusing outbursts of pettiness or ill humor.

For a film with so much promise it was disappointing, thinly plotted and the acting ranging between horrendous and unbelievable. The plot had more holes in it than swiss cheese and it's the worst clichéd ending I've seen in a movie for some time. The final scene would have ripped my heart out, if the entire movie hadn't been so painful to begin with. I was numb! From the very first scene - one was left wondering, if the sister was trying to reach out to her twin for help, or simply scare her to death which would have been better for the audience and saved us from two hours of the worst acting I've seen to date. It was a horror in the true sense of the word.

I am stunned about the "star" rating system this movie has. For an indie film it is a beautiful film! IMDb..what's up?. But who cares?, right.Fantastic cinematography, great story, and overall a very slick little picture. Rented this from a Hollywood video after I could not find anything to rent, I was about to leave and saw the box, I became interested.I usually don't like Indies because I like my films to be polished, even if they are bad..they have to look good ( OK, so I am picky). But this one blew me away. Not all is good, the lead was a bit weak, but somehow the whole thing clicked. THAT and the fact I have Tinnitus, made me love the whole thing even more.Check this film out!

Isn't it odd that most of the negative reviews were posted several days before the movie was released though no previews were done in more than a year? The movie is beautifully shot. I don't know what the budget was but the $60,000 quoted in another comment seems low for this quality. This movie is not for folks who want to see a big creature killing helpless teenagers but it is a film of interesting revenge. Doc Kirby is great as the evil Dad in this movie. He has a future playing the 'heavy'. His flashback scenes with his daughters look great.I would have liked a more definitive ending but the groundwork is there to figure it out. Take a look and see what independent films should be. Even with a low budget, this one delivers.

If you like to watch plots unfold slowly as the movie progresses, like light bulbs going off revealing answers to perplexing questions as you go, I think you'll really like this movie. It shows the uniqueness of the bond between twins, as one twin gets "messages" or "visions" from the other as to why she's missing, and where she is. With their disturbing past being revealed as the story progresses, things get more and more unsettling. It's not the most "scary" movie I've ever seen, but it's got more intrigue and dark character building than a lot of horror films I've seen. The special effects are quality - it kept my attention all the way. And I think some of the characters were interesting that weren't necessarily the leads. My favorite part is the ending, which I really didn't see coming.
