It's not great by any means, but it's a pretty good movie that didn't leave me filled with regret for investing time in it.

a film so unique, intoxicating and bizarre that it not only demands another viewing, but is also forgivable as a satirical comedy where the jokes eventually take the back seat.

what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.

Two airplane pilots are sent to respond to a call for help deep in the middle of Satan's Triangle. They find an abandoned boat adrift with several bodies and just one survivor(Kim Novak). The frightened woman tells Lieutenant Haig(Doug McClure) the details of a dark and frightening voyage into terror as the two spend the night together on the vessel.Unfortunately the sinister tale of Satan's Triangle is linked to the mysterious priest supposedly dead on board."Satan's Triangle" is an eerie gem of early 70's TV-horror.When I was a kid I was fascinated by the mystery of Bermuda Triangle and this film links it with Satanic force.8 triangles out of 10.

It took me forever to locate the name of this movie. I watched this as a child when I was about 11 years old. I was sick and stayed home from school with my Nana when this TV movie was aired. I was captivated by the plot that got creepier and creepier by the minute. By the end, which was probably the scariest thing I've ever seen in a movie, I was resolved never to stay home from school again. (My Nana probably did this on purpose..heh) Considering this is a 25+ year review from an 11 year old viewer, I'd still say it ranks WAY up there in the scary-as-hell department. I would love to see it again, but it appears to be hard to get. Thanks to all the former reviewers that confirmed I'd found this movie at last.

My parents kept telling me that it scared the hell out of them in their childhood, but when i watched it 2day i realized their point, what a magnificent movie, with the eerie 70's effect and the creepy music this movie has it's own genuine atmosphere.Kim Novack did a wonderful job by scaring me, as she appears in the movie as so calm and mysterious, and of course i'm not going 2 talk about the twist in the end, u have 2 see it yourself, but believe me u'll be shocked..also all of the actors were fascinating, they were as if they were in the real situation which adds more suspense 2 the movie.. So ur always tensed and at the end ur head will spin 180 degrees.in the end it's a gr8 70's movies that has 2 be seen..

I remember seeing this way back on TV in the UK at the time of it's release. It was just put out late at night as a filler. Like many others I found it quite eerie with a very unexpected twist at the end. I never forgot it but I could never remember what it was called. All I knew was that the great Doug Mclure was in it. So, thanks to the wonderful IMDb I now know what it was ! It always amazes me just how much really excellent film and TV remains almost impossible to get, whilst at the same time, we are sinking under the weight of dross DVDs. A friend in the industry informed me that a great part of the problem is the legal maze surrounding the issue of copyright ownership. He says the big bucks are being made by the legal firms specialising in that area. Quite often though there is no way of establishing "moral" ownership of a work when the writers and artists may all be deceased and the companies that financed it have also gone to the great studio in the sky. Films such as "Satan's Triangle" were made for a couple TV transmissions and that was it. In the UK it was usual to wipe video tape for re-use. This was originally done for financial reasons as the tape was very expensive, but the practise continued far too long. There can be no excuse though, for the loss of classic film and TV that existed on true celluloid.
