Renukadevi is widowed and the mother of a son named Ram. Her husband had indulged in all possible vices, and passed away unexpectedly. Her father-in-law, Rai, does not want Ram to repeat his father's mistakes, and teaches him all the positive values of the Hindu religion, in particular the contents of the Holy Book "Geeta". As a result, Ram refrains from all known vices, is an expert in yogic exercises, decides to live the life of a celibate, and refuses to marry anyone. When Rai passes away, Renuka asks Ram to fulfill his grandfather's last wishes, one of which was to get married. She even arranges his introduction to Aarti, an attractive young woman. But Ram is convinced that marriage is not for him.

n my opinion it was a great movie with some interesting elements, even though having some plot holes and the ending probably was just too messy and crammed together, but still fun to watch and not your casual movie that is similar to all other ones.

I didn’t really have many expectations going into the movie (good or bad), but I actually really enjoyed it. I really liked the characters and the banter between them.

Although it has been designated as a Blockbuster by boxofficeindia.com in the list of films released in 1975, but apart from some songs, there is not much in the movie. The story becomes too superficial once Manojkumar changes his role of Sanyasi to an international smuggler to trap the villains Premnath, Prem Chopra etc who had kept his love Hema Malini and Mother Sulochana captive in the movie. Helen's dance was one of the worst, ever seen, as other than Asha Bhonsale's voice nothing else suits for Helen's dances. Pran's role in the movie reminds one of his role in the movie Upkar of 1967, but the songs given to him, sung by Manna Dey are no match with 'Kasme vade Pyaar wafa sab' of Upkar. Overall a film worth missing to be seen.
