Good concept, poorly executed.
... View MoreIt's a mild crowd pleaser for people who are exhausted by blockbusters.
... View MoreGreat example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.
... View MoreThis is ultimately a movie about the very bad things that can happen when we don't address our unease, when we just try to brush it off, whether that's to fit in or to preserve our self-image.
... View MoreThe story is awesome. I was shocked to see this movie having such a low rating .Then I remembered a thing -"Different people, different choices." I really liked this movie. This movie has some great lessons for life. The most important is not to commit any crime . The chemistry between Dulquer Salmaan and Nazriya Nazim was awesome. Including them all other actors did brilliant job. The story is about a lazy guy becoming industrious and committing some crimes.
... View MoreEven at first look, the whole setup looks kinds jumpy as Dulquer Salman tries to act his role of a lazy son with lots of hard work. The first 20 minutes are enough to turn you off, but then something tells you to go on. So you go on.Then, characters pop in, so does the humor. The story goes nowhere; of a Mobile shop owner who falls for a chic girl who comes to his shop to recharge her phone balance. The next 1 hour is full of mindless humor (laughable, though). But then, the plot samples a cyber short-cut where the characters get involved in a cyber-crime just for the heck of it. Siddique was wasted. Mamu Koya looks old.Lots of useless sequences may bore you, but for Nazriya Nazim, you can hold on a bit. The last 20 minutes are hopeless and the climax felt like the writers had run short of words, so they ended it with a rather cheesy ending. The whole drama concludes to nothing. The plot tries to prove many a things & also manages to convey a message or two but this is not how cinemas are made, the debut makers should know. No good music, unnecessary cartoonish sound effects & one hopelessly over-smart Tamil speaking character who can code brilliant apps but cannot speak English properly.BOTTOM LINE: Strictly watchable on terms of humor, and sympathy to the actors.
... View MoreDulquer Salman's film has always followed a certain pattern.A Muslim boy raised with lots of expectation, love.Which makes him feel the things given to him are for granted. Then there is the twist in the plot, which most often is being deported back to India, and then heroine enters. The rest of the film is about the journey of redemption of the boy to a MAN!, accompanied by few one liners by the sidekick best friend who is more "mallu" than Dulquer. This movie is no different except that the Muslim boy never goes abroad. Santhanam does a silly cameo of a "Computer genius" who changes the life of Afsal forever. The plot could have explored the situation in a much more imaginative way rather than filling the script with meaningless dragging sequences. The characters have no depth and no substantiating motives for the action portrayed in the movie hence you never feel for the characters. We feel they are doing it coz they are told to and are incapable of deciding for themselves.Direction & Script : Is by debutant Sarath A Haridasan.Have to improve to leave a signature in the industry. Performance : Its a young cast.Could do better. Not their best(I hope). Music : AverageCinematography :Average Editing : Poor. Dialogues : PoorMy Rehash : The debutant could have the opportunity given to him in a much more novel way.Final Verdict : Watch it if you are a big fan of the cast or just want to kill some time.It is advised that in either case leave you brains out of it.
