Sacrificio: Who Betrayed Che Guevara Trailers

The two young Swedish journalist's Erik Gandini and Tarik Saleh have worked one year with Sacrificio, a film about the events surrounding the death of Che Guevara. They have traveled the world around and met among others the man who shot Che Guevara and the former CIA agent who walks around with Che's last tobacco in his pistol butt. In their attempts to find out what really happened they discover that the man who is accused of having betrayed Che Guevara as a matter of fact lives in Malmö, in the south of Sweden.

Great story, amazing characters, superb action, enthralling cinematography. Yes, this is something I am glad I spent money on.

This movie tries so hard to be funny, yet it falls flat every time. Just another example of recycled ideas repackaged with women in an attempt to appeal to a certain audience.

what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.

I have made quite a vast essay on the Cuban revolution in my last year at high school and I must say that this documentary has shown me things that go against everything I've read on the death of Che Guevara. The young filmmakers confront people the whole world had forgotten about and know to make them feel very uncomfortable. From time to time the film tends to use its images a tad manipulative, but I don't see that as a problem, after all, the world's most popular critical filmmaker Michael Moore has made a quite living out of giving coloured information. Sacrificio has some nice use of music (drum 'n bass) and images (often grainy footage, flashy use of older footage), sometimes giving the film the look of a video clip. A very important film, that everyone with even only a passing interest in Cuba should see.
