Amateur movie with Big budget
... View MoreToo much about the plot just didn't add up, the writing was bad, some of the scenes were cringey and awkward,
... View MoreThe movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.
... View MoreMostly, the movie is committed to the value of a good time.
... View MoreI haven't seen this movie since, like 1985. I remember it though, and still have the soundtrack- on vinyl. I can vividly recall dancing to it at my 4th birthday. Well, maybe it's not the soundtrack, but it does tell a story(through song) about Rose Petal and her friends.Rainbow Bright and Strawberry Shortcake have made come backs, I think Rose Petal is due. Voiced by Marie Osmond, brought to life by a child's tears, what's not to love? Her friends include Daffodil and Iris, a snail-man, a caterpillar-guy and a few others. The bad guys are an evil spider named Nastina and her fly buddy, who I think is named Horace. I know there used to be dolls, but was this a t.v. show, too? I know my three year old daughter would love to see this flick. I'd recommend it to any girl, especially those that were born circa 1980.
... View MoreI still own a copy of this movie. I saw a t-shirt in a store the other day that had Rose petal on it and i had it on the brain. It was a short little cartoon movie about a little girl whose family is moving so before she goes she is out in the rose garden crying over her favorite rose because she doesn't want to leave and this is what brings Rose Petal and friends to life. But there is an evil spider and fly minion that try to destroy Rose petal's beauty and make the rose garden into a horrible looking land scape. It was rather good. It came out the year I was born and my grand mother had scene it and bought a copy when it was released. I doubt it is still available though.
