Very interesting film. Was caught on the premise when seeing the trailer but unsure as to what the outcome would be for the showing. As it turns out, it was a very good film.
... View MoreSimple and well acted, it has tension enough to knot the stomach.
... View MoreA movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.
... View MoreAn old-fashioned movie made with new-fashioned finesse.
... View MoreI watched this film and was heartbroken when I has to run to the cinemas bathroom halfway though (large drink), but when read some reviews people seem to hate this film because 'it's too violent', 'Lawrence is a bad actor', 'I don't like her Russian accent'. These excuses make NO sense to me, if you read the description of the film you know it will be extremely violent, J Lawrence's acting in this was superb, and unless you are Russian or have studied it extensively then shut up about the accent. This film has LOADS of twists and turns that don't make sense until later on, which is great for a spy thriller (I mean isn't that the point?), I hate how so many films these days seem to think that the audience is stupid and need to be force fed every action and thought, show don't tell, isn't that the point of going to see a film instead of reading a book?
... View MoreA very watchable spy movie with some confusing twists. Its not as action packed as e.g. atomic blonde but j.l. gives a very convincing perfomance of an abused woman craving for revenge. In the end it makes perfect sense. Dont mess with the wrong woman.
... View MoreIt is the legitimate follow-up to Salt, but the plot is more advanced and given what we know today about Putin and his spies it is relevant and contemporary. It is a risk fr the studio to issue a film like this and the risk taken is appreciated.
... View MoreThis is a cold war thriller about a Russian of privilege being manipulated by the Russian state appatchiks to violate themselves and those around them. Deployed to fight the American enemy the beautiful and downright ideal Russian woman rolls up her sleeves to fight for herself above the enemy and so-called friend. In a world dominated by Star Wars 7 and 8, the eighteenth Marvel film and sixteenth DC comic film this film stands out. Although on its own merits there is quite a lot to see... unless you prefer to watch yet another JJ Abrams sequel or something.
