Just when you thought Bollywood is producing some good movies and have come a long way until you get this! What a load poop ! Some directors have to much time and money to waste! The lead guy was so 80's....cheesy!!

1. SUMMARY: RAABTA tells the story of two lovers Shiv (Sushant Singh Rajput) and Saira (Kriti Sanon) who live in Budapest. Once they both go to a party where Saira meets Zakir (Jim Sarbh), a wealthy liquor baron. Later, Shiv tells Saira that he has to leave for Vienna for a week. Saira becomes all alone and now befriends Zakir. Zakir takes her to a party and gets her fainted. He takes her to his house and tells her that 100 years ago, they were lovers but did not unite. Eventually, Saira also realizes the fact that she is also reincarnated. Now what happens next, will Saira marry Zakir and leave Shiv? or will she betray Zakir and stay with Shiv?2. STORY, SCREENPLAY AND DIALOGUES: Story, screenplay and dialogues seem to be good in the first half of the film but becomes a big disaster in the second half for the audience. Overall writers, Siddharth-Garima can to much better than this.3.PERFORMANCES: Sushant and Kriti's performance in the film was mediocre whereas Jim's acting deserves good appreciation.4. DIRECTION AND OTHER TECHNICAL ASPECTS: After producing a few films, Dinesh Vijan has made his directorial debut. His narrative style in this film is not bad, but he has an ability to make a film better than this. Music by JAM8 and Background score by Sachin-Jigar is really amazing, Cinematography by Martin Preiss and Editing by A. Sreekar Prasad and Huzefa Lokhandwala is reasonably good.5. BOX - OFFICE VERDICT: Raabta has a total budget of 50 crore which seems to be impossible for the film to be a Box-Office "Hit", but has a few chances to recover's cost. Overall, this film is not at all profitable for the distributors but can recover their budget by satellite and various other rights.6. RATING: Because of the film's weak script and poor hype, I'll give it 1.5/4.

First half of the film. Lets say I wasn't too impressed. I came to watch mainly for the modern aspect of the story, but I found the characters to be a bit annoying? Shiv has quite a strong personality and comes off very strong, meanwhile Saira is more tolerable. Lets just say the characters are quite intense. Although I may have not liked their characters as much, I did enjoy experiencing their love and relationship. Those were the times I actually enjoyed the characters.I feel like there was no sense of direction. There was a lot of things happening, as if the director just threw in a bunch of scenes in there to give us an understanding of the characters and their relationship, but it just made the film a bit sloppy. There is a lot of sound effects in attempt to make the scenes more dramatic but I personally didn't like it. There were sound effects/music in like almost every scene. Some scenes were a bit over-dramatic, where the characters would say their dialogues in a more cheesy than serious tone. Definitely didn't like that because I really wanted some scenes that were more conversational and serious. The second half however I really enjoyed because it focuses on their modern day story and how it ties into their past lives. Although the modern story failed to gain my interest, the half about reincarnation is definitely worth a watch.I definitely prefer their past life characters way more than their present day characters, mainly because it was more serious and less cheesy dialogue. It's not a bad film. Cheesy and a bit over dramatic, but it did get an emotional response from my friend and I. There were times where we were angry, surprised, in awe, and were just like YESSS.It definitely had potential to be a great film, but anyways great job to the cast on their performance. So would I recommend it? If you like cheesiness, over-dramatic love stories then definitely. But it you want something more serious with a more complex script and story line, then no. I'd say the film is more directed toward the younger crowd.

Its a one time watchable movie. Not that entertaining but u can pass the time as reincarnation movies are less in Indian cinemasSushant Singh Rajput comes across With Full confident on-screen but he seems to go a notch overboard. There is a hint of Little overacting to most of his scenes. Actress Kriti Sanon looks pretty Hot but in terms of acting its is average. She fails to make her presence felt among the other two actors.Plot is similar to other historical romantic movies. 1st half is good but second half lagsOverall the movie is okish. One may not regret after watching this as there are no better option than this in theaters now 😑
