It's fun, it's light, [but] it has a hard time when its tries to get heavy.

It's simply great fun, a winsome film and an occasionally over-the-top luxury fantasy that never flags.

The sixth Pokémon movie is decent, but it's quite underwhelming compared to the best Pokémon movies. There are some things to enjoy, but there just wasn't much that was great or notable about it.There wasn't much plot, to be honest. Most of the movie takes place at a circus and the last half hour was mostly spent on getting Jirachi to his home.Jirachi was kind of cute but rather annoying for the most part, and I felt that his relationship with Max was kind of forced. It had the basic message of lasting friendship that while nice, has already been done before. There wasn't much excitement until the last 20 minutes and the animation is still good but a definite step down from "Pokémon Heroes."However, I will admit that there were some funny moments involving Jirachi, and Butler was fairly interesting as a villain. Even if a lot of the magic show scenes went on a little too long, some of them were quite entertaining.Groudon is another cool legendary Pokémon, and the final 20 minutes are exciting enough. I also loved the "Make a Wish" song at the end credits.Easily the worst Pokémon movie up to this point and, in my opinion, one of the least memorable. However, even though it's nothing special, at least it's never boring. It's not the worst Pokémon movie and it's still worth a watch, but don't expect anything mind-blowing.RATING: C+

Note: Although many may not consider this review a spoiler, what is considered a spoiler is different for different people so I checked it just in case.I found this movie really lacking compared to the other films so far. The plot has been the same as the fourth and fifth films. The worlds in danger, Pokémon gets captured by someone who want's to use it's energy to rule the world or gain trust. After awhile it's gets quite repetitive. As I don't follow the new series, I didn't find any connection toward the new characters, and while the it was sort of entertaining, there wasn't really anything new added. I found it wasn't able to keep my attention. I guess if you're a kid, or are a fan of the new characters you'll find this movie enjoyable, but it just wasn't something I was personally interested in.

If you like Pokemon as much as I do, you won't want to miss the appearance of a Pokemon that is, otherwise, never shown on TV. Though I would make an exception for this movie, even you're a hardcore Pokemon fan.I've been following Pokemon shows, games and movies ever since I was a child. This has got to be the most boring Pokemon movie yet! More than half of the entire movie is FILLERS and nothing but FILLERS. The plot is crappy and the only character development was when their past is revealed in a brief sentence or two. The voice over is terrible, especially for Jirachi. Half way through, I was so disappointed that it felt painful to sit on my seat. The only reason why this movie didn't receive a 1 star from me is because of the sudden twist towards the end. It saved the movie and made it almost worth watching.Again, even for hardcore Pokemon fans, you might want to simply skip the first half. Trust me, you won't miss a damn thing!

This is a great Pokemon movie, the only one that's better is "Pokemon 2000 the movie". I'm not spoiling this movie, you need to watch it yourself! :) I have watched all of the released Pokemon movies so far, but this one and 2000 take the cake, frosting, and food coloring! I felt like crying at the end, it was so sad when Jirachi went back to sleep for 1000 more years. The last three movies had me crying or almost crying, In Pokemon 4EVER, I cried when Celebi died (even though he was brought back to life but it was still sad....) and also when Sammy left. SPOILER! SAMMY IS PROFESSER OAK!!!!!!!!!!!!! In Pokemon Heroes, I cried when Latios was killed. SPOILER! At the very end of the movie, I saw the dead brother Latios, the dead father Latios, and the live sister Latias (yes, her name is Latias, not Latios, it varies depending on gender, boys are Latios and girls are Latias) flying above the ocean!!!!!!! What's up with that!!!!!!!!!! And in this movie, when Jiraci left Max, Ash, May, and Brock, I almost cried with that. The end song was wonderful, I love listening to it over and over and over! All in all, this movie is very good and actually has emotional scenes between the semi-villain Butler and the one he loves, Dianne. Well, bring on Pokemon Movie 7 coming out in Febuary!!!!!!!!!
