The panther tries to fend off the annoying pest, which results in some pretty funny moments - from getting electrocuted to fallen through holes in the ground. You would think that the termite would get the best of the Pink Panther and have the last laugh. But, the panther managed to stick him up with a shotgun and force him to help rebuild his cabin by cutting the new wood. So, it was a better outcome than I thought.Grade B-

The main objective was for them to be entertaining, and on the most part they are. And boy is Pink Pest Control entertaining. Sure, the story as with most Pink Panther cartoons doesn't hold that many surprises and is on the predictable side. Pink Pest Control is the kind of cartoon though that draws you in and keeps you glued throughout, and the gags are at least inventive with the termite bagging the best moments and helped by solid comic timing. The animation doesn't do anything too flashy, instead it keeps things simple(most of the Pink Panther cartoons do and it's part of their charm) without it looking too simplistic. What's more it's coloured beautifully and has an appealing drawing style. As ever the music is wonderful, the scoring accompanying the gags and action follows the simple tone but is still catchy and the theme tune is a classic that still hasn't aged a jot. Pinky is still lovable and cool and we do feel sympathy for him as his cabin is literally destroyed, while the termite is quite hilarious and has the best moments comedically. All in all, great and very entertaining. 9/10 Bethany Cox
... View MoreThe Pink Panther battles a super termite. That's the story in this entertaining cartoon which first shows us a pretty rural scene with a log cabin out in the middle of the woods. It's the Panther's home (today). We then see a little termite jump into a log outside the house. The PP brings the log in, puts it and another log in the fireplace and the termite jumps out. It runs out of the house and cools itself off in the lake. Now, the little creature, who sounds like a buzz saw, is back inside the house with a vengeance and goes to work. It doesn't take the Panther long to see the problem on his hands as the little bug quickly eats chairs, tables, anything out of wood. I've seen the same kind of story in an old Popeye cartoon, in which termites (plural, in that story) totally demolishes Popeye's house. This is a bit different in that it's just one termite and this guy slowly torments his victim. Both cartoons were fun to watch.I like this version better because (1) the noise the little bug made as he hopped around was very funny; (2) there were more inventive ideas in this one (drilling mouse holes, falling bath tubs, etc.); (3) this one had a bizarre ending.Either way, you can't go wrong with a cartoon featuring a termite!
