I didn’t really have many expectations going into the movie (good or bad), but I actually really enjoyed it. I really liked the characters and the banter between them.

Great story, amazing characters, superb action, enthralling cinematography. Yes, this is something I am glad I spent money on.

Story: It's very simple but honestly that is fine.

The Pink Panther thinks he has found paradise on a tropical island, but the little pointy-nosed man and his dog are there hunting for food. So, fearing for his life, the panther plays pranks on the man, in which the poor dog is blamed for.The dog acts rather innocent and adorable in the short, but at times, in not the brightest of moments. Marginal laughs from this one, as much of the gags are concentrated on the man and dog rather than the panther. He takes the third wheel in this one. There are much repetitive gags - not the best panther cartoon out there, but still pretty funny to watch.Grade B-

This is another zany Pink Panther cartoon, and a terrific one.....thanks to a little dog, who totally steals the show.(This is really bizarre but) the Pink Panther walks underwater to a tropical island and then encounters The Great White Hunter and his White Dog.Most of the cartoon shows the dog defending its master, or protecting his master's property and coming out on the short end of distress each time. It's hard to explain without giving away all the gags, but you really wind up rooting for the little dog against both his master and the Pink Panther. The latter don't provide a lot, if any, humor except in the very beginning and very end....but the dog in here is too much!! His scaredy-cat howl made me laugh every time, but his cuteness and antics were great. I got a lot of laughs out of this one. Highly-recommended, especially if you appreciate a loyal dog.

The Pink Panther turns up on a tropical island after walking all the way there under water, holding his breath, with an umbrella up to keep him dry. All he wants is a relaxing vacation but a little hunter man and his faithful dog are disturbing him. So he plays tricks on them.Pinky is hardly in this cartoon at all and most of the sight gags come from the numerous explosions the little hunter man suffers at the paws of his dog who is so faithful he doesn't realize he shouldn't be playing fetch with a stick of dynamite. It ain't that funny and there's not much invention to it either. Not really a good vehicle for the Pink Panther and it's almost an exact carbon of 1966's Smile Pretty, Say Pink.

This short (like most of the Pink Panther shorts) is primarily composed of sight gags, given a singular lack of dialog. The humor in this short most often arises from the interaction between the little man who is the frequent foil for the Pink Panther and his dog, rather than much that the star of the series does. The dog is placed in situations which end disastrously for the little man and it looks as though his dog caused bad things to happen, when in fact the dog has been expertly set up to look that way. Several repetitive sight gags later, typically violent and rather painful in appearance, and the dog has been made Canis Non Grata. The closing gag is cute, though repetitive. Not the best short I've seen and not the worst-about average for the Pink Panther series. This short is available on the Pink Panther Cartoon Collection, along with all the other shorts in the series. Recommended.
