This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.

This Pink Panther cartoon is title Pink Lemonade, but that is pretty much a misleading title. Nothing in this cartoon is even remotely related to what is said in the title, instead, the plot is about the Pink Panther seeking refuge in a house after being chased by a dog catcher. In order to avoid being detected by the household residents, he poses as a child doll. As a result, he gets thrown, tugged, stored away and chased by the family members and their dog.The gags get repetitive and the overall cartoon wasn't very entertaining or funny. The Pink Panther also wasn't his usual sly and wise-cracking self. A very mediocre cartoon - nothing to laugh about.Grade D--

Pink Pictures and Pink Arcade, while not amongst the classic Pink Panther cartoons, were still more than worthy, both(especially Pink Arcade) far better than the 1976 cartoons and Therapeutic Pink. Pink Lemonade is a long way from terrible but for me it was only adequate and a big step down from Pink Pictures and Pink Arcade. Regrettably it is also one of my personal least favourites of the entire series as well. Starting with what was good about Pink Lemonade, there are some beautiful colours in the animation and the characters especially Pinky are drawn well. The music is not as subtle as that of the pre-1978 Pink Panther cartoons but the jazzy vibe and upbeat energy were great to hear and it didn't trivialise the action at all. Pacing-wise Pink Lemonade is not too dull, the six and a half minute length actually moving fairly swiftly. The characters carry the cartoons very well, Pinky is as ever very likable and fun, how he manages to pass for a toy is done with some interesting character animation. The dog is appropriately antagonistic with cleverly animated facial expressions and the Little Man is amusing(especially in the last couple of minutes) but doesn't have much to do. The children while cute are a little pointless however, only there really to show what Little Man's role in the story was. While the animation mostly is at least serviceable some of the backgrounds are scrappy and sparse, talking minimally simple to extremes. The story is very predictable here, even for a Pink Panther cartoon, and while the gags are mildly amusing none are hilarious. Quite a lot of the cartoon actually being fairly repetitive, it's basically Pinky pretending to be a toy, his attempts to get away from the house and escape the dog(with the dog losing every time) and with the repeated gags the repeated times are not much different from the previous times. The ending felt abrupt too. All in all, an adequate Pink Panther cartoon but not much more than that. 5/10 Bethany Cox
