A bit overrated, but still an amazing film
... View MoreIt's a mild crowd pleaser for people who are exhausted by blockbusters.
... View Morean ambitious but ultimately ineffective debut endeavor.
... View MoreThe movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful
... View MoreSo the movie looked good at first ,, the story might not be that genuine, but it was a bit far from the usual zombie story we used to ... but still with that ending i'm not sure if that was it !!! or are they like expecting a sequel !!! Ah, just awful .With cast like Stanley Tucci and Matt Smith i really had so much hopes ,, and even though they delivered "acting wise speaking" the scenario and specifically the mediocre writing just didn't help.final judgment, I wouldn't have watched it if i knew it'd be or at least end like this ,, looked so sleazy , so if you don't like sleazy, just find another movie.
... View MoreNo-one involved in this comes out with any credit whatsoever, least of all director Stefan Ruzowitzky. The writers and producers should all hang their heads in shame. The actors phone in their performances from the bottom of a barrel and some of the dialogue made my skin crawl it was so embarrassing. There are plot holes from the very start and the relationships between the characters seem to have been written by the high school, work-experience intern. There is a particularly memorable scene in which Clive Standen's character, the highly trained, yet strangely incompetent buffoon 'Colonel Knox' is in a 15ftx15ft room pointing a gun at an 'infected' and somehow manages to lose sight of him, so the infected can sneak up on him from behind. You think I must be kidding, but the whole film is full of stuff like this.I know it has been mentioned in almost every other review, but it would be remiss of me not to also highlight Matt Smith's ridiculous accent.I've given it 2/10 because the sets look good.
... View MoreAfter an unprecedented global pandemic turns the majority of humankind into violent "Infected," a man gifted with the ability to speak the Infected's new language leads the last survivors on a hunt for Patient Zero and a cure. Zombie movies have become so cliched and stupid over the years that this newest entry into the genre doesn't change much either since it's badly written and just boring and stupid as it is plus i don't get how A-list names such as Natalie Dormer, Matt Smith and Stanley Tucci agreed to appear into this colossal mess of a film. ... View MoreThis movie was terrible from the very first line uttered. The story was poorly written, poorly acted and poorly edited. The only reason that this movie isn't a 0 stars is because they somehow managed to get Stanley Tucci on board. That's worth 2 stars alone. On another note, Stanley, fire your agent.
