It's entirely possible that sending the audience out feeling lousy was intentional

The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.

I expected little when I purchased this DVD. I'd never heard of the title and the sole reason I wanted to get it was because I'm a fan of Adam Beach. I was pleasantly surprised by the storyline and I was completely caught off guard at the end. I love movies that do that - just like "The Sixth Sense". I was also surprised by how much the movie actually moved me to tears (not wailing kind of tears but droplets). I didn't expect that either, which was probably the key to really enjoying this film.I would recommend this film to my girlfriends. I actually watched it with my husband and he enjoyed it! John/Pico (played by Adam) is a very romantic character and he definitely has the charm that can grab you unexpectedly....

This was an excellent movie with fabulous actors!!!!!! I had seen this movie on the shelf for months and finally had a chance to watch it. I was pleasantly surprised. All of the actors played each part to perfection. It was a very emotional piece and I used several tissues. THis is an excellent story of love, friendship, and devotion that everyone should watch and they should watch it with a special person. The setting was perfect. Two thumbs up for Adam Beach who is always great!!!!! I think this is the best love story that I have seen in years and I only wished I had heard about it sooner. Watch it as fast as you can.

The sleeper of the year, perhaps the decade, "Now and Forever," which won t he audience award at the Festival of Festivals in Cathedral City, CA., is a movie waiting to be discovered. A story of cross-cultural love, prejudice and eternal commitment, the film was expertly directed by Bob Clark ("A Christmas Story"). He kept things simple, involving and on track every minute. Casting: perfect. Location: marvelous. Emotional pull of the story: overwhelming, flawlessly combining elements of "Romeo and Juliet," "The Sixth Sense" and "Ghost" to keep the audience constantly involved in the drama. And the ending is a total surprise. When I saw it, people of all ages loved this film and demanded to know when they could see it again. And that is another story: Bob Clark is literally betting the ranch, putting up his own money to distribute the film himself to prove to major studios that a film which has his total support is also a viable commercial product. A film that demands to be seen. Four stars.
