For all the hype it got I was expecting a lot more!

It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.

Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.

Watching it is like watching the spectacle of a class clown at their best: you laugh at their jokes, instigate their defiance, and "ooooh" when they get in trouble.

Now 3 years after it's release this film was shown on TV in Australia and in the early hours of the morning. I really enjoyed it too though it was more of a fairy tale than real life ... I wish I would have had a husband who did ALL the chores and still thought that I was the only one for him but the 'house-husband' of this type is a new invention and the product of the generation where Mother did all the chores and Dad was out earning the money! I would have liked to see a further chapter after they walked off into the sunset to see how they coped together in the real world! Now that would have also been very drole as the French say!

Film takes places during the famed French "Vacances". Constance, the heroine meets her former boyfriend , Martin, by chance, at a supermarket. It has been five years since they separated and both are now married and have to do all the chores as parents. Constance , with her macho , lustful husband come to visit her former boyfriend at his vacation home. Will they find their lost love again?Lovely movie, very French, funny at times, moving at others. Definetely worth seeing

Definitely the best film I have seen this year so far. Two exes meet up in the supermarket and invite their new families on holiday. More friends turn up. They all live in a beautiful countryside house, they're on holiday, the weather is sunny, the kids are cute, there is good food and good wine, everything seems to be just perfect... But the confrontation of all these so-called "friends" and of their different ways of living reveals frustration, sadness, fear, hatred! The two exes realize they still love each other (or is it just the will to escape from their lives?) and that they have just taken the wrong train and are wasting their time and lives! They have built the perfect image of happiness, not the one they wanted, but the one social clichés imposes on all of us (stability, wedding, kids...). The eternal fight between reason and passion, between the mind and the heart! All actors do a great job, lines are just excellent, a layer of funny words on bitter themes... Very very funny, smart, touching and not boring at all, go and see it, films of this quality are too rare to be missed!!!

Definitely the worst film I have seen this year so far. Every cliche in French film - staginess, excessive extra-marital plot, beautiful countryside house (which is magically paid for, despite the character's badly paid jobs) and the excruciatingly unconvincing club scene (you know - 80s decor, bad music, le playboy in his shades.... yuk)Two exes meet up in the supermarket and invite their new families on holiday. Predictable non-hilarity ensues. Ex1 and ex2 fall in love again, painfully slowly. More friends turn up. There is the macho man, the new model husband changing nappies, the quirky and crazy wife (Romane Bohringer, so incredibly irritating one wants to hit her for the duration of the film), arguments, quaint villagers who love the visiting Parisians, unlikely outings...Very very boring, slow, and not funny at all.
