Night of the Templar Trailers

The stage is set for retribution as an eclectic group is lured to a secluded European Castle under the guise of a promised "fantasy weekend." And as they read from an obscure storybook, a nefarious tale of avarice is reenacted for their entertainment. However, they are unaware that they have been gathered for their own personal and befitting executions.

Really, don't waste any of your time or money on this dreadful film. Implausible story Implausible characters Poorly cast Poorly acted Poorly directed. Dreadful accents Nothing redeeming at all. Very difficult to see how it's scored as highly as it has. Not helped by large amounts of knitted chain-mail. I have no idea how to fill 10 lines of text with relevant comment, nor do I have any idea why unnecessary length makes a review better. Surely a quick and concise review is more useful than a lot of twaddle?Really, don't waste any of your time or money on this dreadful film. I'm not going to waste your time giving you a synopsis. You've already read that. Instead I'm going to tell you my thoughts. You see, the first time I watched this movie I wasn't sure what I was expecting. Indie films are not something I have a lot of experience with. In fact I believe this was the first one I have knowingly watched. I went into it expecting what you see in a Hollywood film. That was my mistake. It's not a Hollywood film. It tells a story based on the Templars but it's not a history lesson. I have come to understand that this style of storytelling has my heart. It's quirky, & fun. It has a few moments that are very hot. And I came out of it wondering what I had missed because of my own expectations. I have since watched it again, several times in fact. Mr. Sampson has made a film that I spot something else in, nearly every time I watch. He has an active imagination and I feel lucky that he's so willing to share with us.

I love this movie and have watched it multiple times. Each time I watch it I find something new and interesting that I didn't see before. While the modern day part of the film is amazing I find myself drawn to the medieval era even more. The subtleties and nuances of Lord Gregoire is absolutely amazing. Paul Sampson does an excellent job of portraying him in such a humble yet courageous way that is instantly likable yet you can't help but respect him as the great lord as he is. His transition into Jake McCallister is flawless yet you can still see Lord Gregoire buried within the character. I can't wait to watch it again to see what new gem I find buried within this amazing indie film!!

Night of the Templar is quite a surprising and brilliant piece of work which I suspect will achieve the accolade of instant cult status as word of mouth snowballs this film to richly deserved recognition.Paul Sampson, both the writer and the main star of the film, has been a comedic force for some time, most notably in the fantastic movie 'Whacked!'. Many of his previous works have hinted at Sampson's saliently dead pan comedic manner (and writing skills) which comes to full fruition in 'Night of the Templar'.In a nut shell, this film is an amazing blend of the funny, the violent and the poignant. It was a joy to watch and my only disappointment is that I can never watch this film for the first time ever again - every viewing will forever be a repeat viewing.
