Strictly average movie
... View MoreThe acting is good, and the firecracker script has some excellent ideas.
... View MoreIt’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.
... View MoreA film of deceptively outspoken contemporary relevance, this is cinema at its most alert, alarming and alive.
... View MoreFirst at all I'd like to explain why I've given 8 to it: I did not compare it to the romantic comedies as a genre, but to Polish romantic comedies. In comparison with all the "Tylko mnie kochaj" and "Ja wam pokażę" it is a very very good film.Pluses: -a few brilliant and funny dialogs, -nice Spanish music, -way Marcin Dorocinski plays ( although at the very end he becomes a bit like a hero of the Bollywood film but I am aware of the fact that it must have been in the screenplay), -no breasts and no Swietokrzyski Bridge (which recently are both common in Polish films).Minuses: -the improbability of the whole plot - at the end it turns out that everyone is somehow connected to another, -Magdalena Rozdzka in some moments is a bit too "artificial" and her heroine behaves in an improbable way. Moreover, if you live off making angels, you don't live in such a big apartment in Warsaw and generally, you don't dress like that -it would be nice to develop some threads (like of Bartek'mother, or Matylda pretending to be pregnant). - the ending takes a bit from "Love and Other Disasters" and the film seems to be a bit cut in the middle of the scene. But generally, it is a nice sweet film for a romantic date or for a ladies night with a few bottles of wine.
