A very feeble attempt at affirmatie action
... View MoreIf the ambition is to provide two hours of instantly forgettable, popcorn-munching escapism, it succeeds.
... View MoreExcellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.
... View MoreThis is a dark and sometimes deeply uncomfortable drama
... View MoreThis will not be a helpful review, but I felt like it was necessary to write something! I remember watching this movie on HBO over and over when it came to cable. As you might be able to tell from the cast list, there are basically a handful of young kids that runaway from home. (I don't remember if they knew each other before running away.) They find an old house in which they build a fort, a place to take care of each other and pool their resources.I remember thinking the movie was romanticizing runaways. At eight years old, if it weren't for the fact that I actually liked my parents, I would have run away right away. Between _Annie_ and _Never Never Land_, though, it was tough.Sorry I don't remember more. Maybe I've inspired someone to write a real review/summary.
