Each character in this movie — down to the smallest one — is an individual rather than a type, prone to spontaneous changes of mood and sometimes amusing outbursts of pettiness or ill humor.

Who ends a movie with "To Be Continued", unless they plan on making a second film with this, that ending was pointless, and they could have added more to the story, instead of leaving us hanging like clothes out on a clothes line, waste of time movie, and very pathetic. They should have added more to the story, like telling us what in the world was on the video, was the paranormal activity was, who the man that killed the little girl was, what did she look like, were did she live, how did the tunnel from the house to the church come to exist, there is just so much stuff they could have added to this movie to make it better, but no, they decided to leave us hanging, and leave a bunch of stuff out, this movie is pointless, don't waste your time and money on this film, it's crap.

Munger Road is intense and frightening. The acting is not bad. Its quite good actually. Sometimes I felt like the acting from some characters could have been better. **mild spoiler: no specific details mentioned**The horror and terror of this movie is like a creature that lurks and creeps around. I don't know what you look for in a horror film, but consider that this movie is PG-13, so I will let you know if you are looking for gruesome killings then you wont find them. There are killings, but you don't see them. The killings are out of view but you can still hear what's happening. **End mild spoiler**Well, the story was interesting. There is mystery and a lot of suspense. However, there are moments when its really dark and difficult to see. One moment in the car, you can't see anything but it was not necessary to see anything. Even though it was hard to see at some moments, I'd say that the movie was still pretty scary and worth watching. If you are a horror fan who has wasted several hours on horror films you wished you had never seen, then why not give this one a try as well. I promise its not the worst horror film you've ever seen, and you may even like it.

I had met the director, Nick Smith, when he was a student at Columbia College. When I went to an early screening of this movie, what I was expecting to see was a "student film". But from the opening frame this film was an incredible surprise. Suspenseful! Great scares! Fabulous performances! Creepy visuals! Wonderfully shot! All in all, an amazingly professional first-time film. I was surprised that Roger Ebert chose to review this film but not surprised that he gave it a rave three-star review (out of four). If this is what Smith can deliver his first time out, I can't wait to see his next film. This film is worth seeing! Maybe even more than once!

I understand that a good horror movie often leaves one with questions at the end, but this movie felt incomplete. The ending is abrupt and without direction, leaving so many unanswered questions that the audience just sat there and asked, "Is that it?". Setting up for a sequel is understandable but I think the viewer needs more of a hook...(Although I'll probably go see Munger 2.) The story, though unoriginal, does have a fair amount of suspense. There are several scenes that give a good jolt but nothing ever gets resolved. I can't recommend this film. As a resident of St Charles now and a person that drives past that location every day, I wanted to love this movie. There were so many directions this could have gone and it chose none. That's a shame.
