Watch something else. There are very few redeeming qualities to this film.
... View MoreThis is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.
... View MoreIt really made me laugh, but for some moments I was tearing up because I could relate so much.
... View MoreAn old-fashioned movie made with new-fashioned finesse.
... View MoreAn utterly horrible movie! The script seemed to be one from the old ages with a dry twists mingled into it. The direction was awfully, too old school that it seemed like I was watching one of those early 80's movies. Do not get me wrong I do love the 80's, but this particular movie had too much of a modern corny vibe to it, shot with a whole lot of old school perspective. Moreover, the casting was even worse for that matter. The script/movie attempts to bring out some comedy, which it does achieve in a few circumstances but these are often masked by numerous failed attempts. All in all the movie stands as a blemish to all involved in its production and a recommendation would be to search out another title to watch rather than spending 2 hours on this one.
... View MoreHow disgusting it was!! Usually Dileep used to act in movies that all types of audience love to see. But this one was brutally disgusting! Indian Govt. should give me and my friends Bharathratna for our courage to watch this piece of crap in bigscreen. I love Dileep, because he can easily evoke laughter. He is also a proved actor that he won the state award for best actor last year. Then why does he go behind these types of awful scripts? Some of the one-liners made giggles in the theatre, I don't disagree. But most of the movie was nonsense. I have no words to express my wrath towards the director and scriptwriters of this movie. Dileep has done his job very well. But the film went useless. Sometimes, I even tried to get out from the theatre due to some dirty as well as irrelevant talks. Even though, it was not that much flop in Box Office. It is only due to the presence of Dileep. The crew including veterans like Sheela, Khushbu etc. simply made me spit on the screen, but i did it on the floor! Sanusha made an utterly disgusting performance as Dileep's ladylove. \Overall, Mr. Marumakan is always a nightmare for me! My 70 Rs.. I want it back....... Shame!!
... View MoreIt was supposed to be like CID Moosa, Chess or Meess Madhavan. But when the plot started moving, I could yawn yawn & yawn. The strength of the movie tumbles down somewhere at the beginning where the protagonist and antagonist meet. From that point, it is obvious what is gonna happen next. And if you have watched any other typical son-in-law based movies, you will stand uninsured. It is a gimmick!I don't understand how it was able to rake in 20 crores in its first week. The movie is so loud; the background score is totally irrelevant. This was not expected from you, Dileep. Bringing back oldies like Sheels & Khushbu won't do any good for such a clichéd movie. Haven't you heard that script is the life of a movie? Director, I'll throw you a bone!Worst thing about this movie: When Dileep is narrating possibly a made- up story to his arrogant mom-in-law, a song comes between it and wrecks havoc. You might even want to sue the astrology-maniac director.
