Tells a fascinating and unsettling true story, and does so well, without pretending to have all the answers.

The three couples in S.M. Vasanth's Moondru Per Moondru Kadal are Varun (Vemal) and Anjana (Lasini), Guna (Cheran) and Mallika (Muktha Bhanu), and Harris (Arjun) and Divya (Surveen Chawla) — and the film depicts their knotty love stories over three landscapes: the sea, the hills, and the flat terrains of a city. The film is nothing like the Tamil cinema we see today. We are introduced to the first couple, Varun (Vemal) and Anjana (Lasini) in a beautiful hill station. Varun, who is a chartered accountant, meets and falls in love with Anjana, who is also a CA working in his father's office. Unfortunately, she is in love with someone else and is already engaged. The story of the second couple Guna (Cheran) and Malliga (Muktha Bhanu) is set in a small town by the seaside. Guna is a social activist who runs an organisation that helps ex-convicts to start a new life. His dedication and sincerity for his work leaves him no time for love or marriage, thus shattering the dreams of poor Malliga who is in love with him.

It's a good lovable film, and a good entertainment for all time peoples . And it is a comeback film for the director after a gap of six years. It has to be noted that Vasanth's movies have often generated curiosity for content and characterization. The movie is slow paced though it is tastefully made. It is interesting to see how the younger generation views such stuff. One would wish that Vasanth could have added some exciting element to the fare to keep the audiences' interest throughout. The title (Moondru Per Moondru Kaadhal) of the film tells, The movie revolves around three couples and the locations of each of their love stories vary from the Hills, the Seas and the Plain lands. The film covers three landscapes Kurinji (mountain), Marudham (agriculture fields) and Neidhal (area surrounding the sea). What is that one thing that brings all of them together is the interesting part of the story. Once again, Vasanth excels in creating characters. I thank Yuvan, the music by Yuvan Shankar Raja gives more grace for 'Moondru Per Moondru Kadal'. The beautiful lyrics of songs such as 'Kadal endan Kannada', 'Aha Kannada' and 'Mazama Mazama' work wonders and keep you engaged in movie.

"Aaha kadhak konchi pesutha" The album opens with a beautiful raga-rock tune. The contrast is beautiful with the singer's carnatic intonations while the backing band supports her with a bluesy groove. A particular portion of the melody does seem to lead towards a popular Ilayaraja tune 'Entha Poovilum Vasam Undru' but goes elsewhere. The singer Nandini brings a delightful and authentic feminine personality to the tune with her voice and performance. The orchestration includes interludes that feature violin, accordion and flute segments, giving it a refreshing feel of an 'early morning song'.Overall, the album might have been described as 'post-modern' by the director, but it's an easily approachable album where each listener can pick a different track as their favorite. Yuvan Shankar Raja does things his own way, and does it mighty good! Yuvan wins bragging right for being the first to bring dubstep to Tamil film music.
