Plot so thin, it passes unnoticed.

It's a mild crowd pleaser for people who are exhausted by blockbusters.

If you're interested in the topic at hand, you should just watch it and judge yourself because the reviews have gone very biased by people that didn't even watch it and just hate (or love) the creator. I liked it, it was well written, narrated, and directed and it was about a topic that interests me.

One of the best Punjabi movies I ever saw. Jimmy Shergill did a wonderful role as Captain Nihal Singh. Kulraj who played his wife Prasan Kaur in this movie is such a beautiful girl and she did justice to her role. The movie did a good job exposing the police brutality in the 1980s in Punjab. The villain - Inspector Jhotekutt - was a common thing in Punjab in those days. The movie was full of tragedies but the ending is good. This Punjabi movie was in par with Hindi movies. Hopefully, they make more such movies. The Punjabi spoken in this movie was real and not urban Punjabi or the one spoken in Delhi. It was really village Punjabi. Shergill speaks very cool Punjabi. In short, it was worth watching and it was time well spent.

Their Romance leads into a marriage in dramatic circumstances. However due to unfortunate incidents the girl dies after giving birth to a baby girl. After completing the sentence his search for his daughter starts again. This story is all about love, passion, hatred, betrayal and romance. Motivated from a true incident, which the director came across in 1996, the film brings out various facets of human behaviour in true punjabi flavour & spirit. This movie is one of the best punjabi movies I have ever seen. It really is worth watching. Both Jimmy and Kulraj did a good job in it and the story line is great!!

The story opens up to awful mistreatment of a family in pivotal despair. What was to become of them was unknown. A heart-wrenching throb, the main actor, took it upon himself to fulfill the needs of the family and the story, only to be caught in their midst and have many struggles during his fight of a healthy life for him and his new wife. things began to run quite smoothly and then they went turvy again. Oh what was happening, it made me dizzy! After enduring yet some more trouble, Mr.Shergill was able to live a free life, perhaps with one clear indication as to why he would want to live such a life- his daughter- minnat. After again, some more conflict- a peaceful solution was sought and the relationship was united for the first time, of the father and daughter.Truly a Punjabi film entrenched in sorrow and the overwhelming feeling of happiness in due time. Beautiful roles played by Jimmy Shergill and the main actress.
