Ever have one of those lifetimes where nothing seems to go right? Failing cartoon writer, Millard Mudd, has sunk deep into one. Living hermit-like and existing on a strict alcohol diet, Mudd's world has collapsed. But one day everything changes when a dog named Lucky enters his life. You see, what makes Lucky no ordinary dog is his ability to talk. And what makes Lucky invaluable is his ability to teach Mudd how to write again. But what makes Lucky dangerous is his ability to get inside Mudd's head and turn him into a serial killer.

I wanted to like it more than I actually did... But much of the humor totally escaped me and I walked out only mildly impressed.

Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.

Millard Mudd is a down on his luck cartoon writer whose fortunes change with the arrival of a cute little dog named Lucky. Murder and mayhem ensue.Lucky is not a good movie - it's too wordy, the "hero" is completely unlikeable, and the pacing is off. But it's filled with more disturbing stuff than most movies: necrophilia, sex torture, and chainsaws among them. Plus it really seems to hate women. SIDEBAR: I'm a chick horror fan and get really upset when people point to horror flicks as nothing but misogyny. But this movie really doesn't like women. It kept me watching right up to the dumb ending because I had to see where it was going. Has some darkly funny moments but nothing special. No animal cruelty though - the car wreck that introduces Lucky excepted.Best Line: "Perception is nine tenths of the law."

This movie must be viewed with an open mind - realizing it is a spoof, I believe - and not to be taken seriously. Carrie Barton (as Sadie Pray) in the blonde wig was just too funny and completely looked different than her pix on this website. I believed her and wanted to see more of her. Even though Carrie's part was small, she continued to be impressive with her subtle portrayal of a character difficult to portray, in that it was a character that could easily be "overdone." While the movie does have some disturbing scenes, overall those scenes were not so objectionable that I turned away. It was funny. I look forward to following her career planned for the future.

i'm not sure what the other comment was about, but they had it dead wrong. this movie is not meant for people who are close minded. the movie in no way condones any of the behaviors of the characters depicted. this is the most original movie i've ever seen. it could be said that this movie would be offensive to just about anyone. you just can't take it as if its actually a true story. i know it says its a true story, but thats just a joke, since at the end of the credits you get one of those "any resemblance to....was purely unintentional..blah blah blah" things at the end. The movie is not only hilarious, but its shockingly charming and awkward. nothing about this movie says "hollywood". its so god damn independent, its great. i'd make sure you are uptight and close minded before watching. if you strongly believe that jesus will bring you to greatness, you are a tard and shouldn't see this film. the movie seems a bit student-film-ish when you watch it, but it after watching for a bit, it seems intentional. it's great. if you like comedies that are over the edge, this one defines the genre. your life will be forever changed after watching this flick

To be humorous on a low budget feature is often a very difficult task. To blend humor and horror is an even more arduous task. But director Steve Cuden does so with such imagination and creativity. With a feature that can best be described as daring, Cuden has created a jet black comedy that will chill you. With great performances and a distinct visual style, this hybrid film will thoroughly entertain and sit up and beg for repeat viewings. Definitely, check this film out!
