Love Me If You Dare Trailers

As adults, best friends Julien and Sophie continue the odd game they started as children -- a fearless competition to outdo one another with daring and outrageous stunts. While they often act out to relieve one another's pain, their game might be a way to avoid the fact that they are truly meant for one another.

A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.

This movie is painfully romantic ... very painful ... and very romantic.Firstly, I can really understand the famous critic Roger Ebert, when he describes the story as frustrating, and the characters as impossible to relate to. This is not how love should be: obsessive and self-destructive.However movies, do not have to reflect perfect life, or perfect love, but show us the extremes, how it turns out, if one would follow a path to the end without compromise, or play a game, and don't stop playing it. Also I believe the movie does contain more truth, then one would admit: Aren't things like the past, or pride, standing in the way of truly loving a person?Without spoiling, I can say the movie consists of three parts. The First part, is thoroughly innocent, and adorable, it tells one of the sweetest cinematic love stories, i have seen.Second part, the story gets more twisted, there is also more comedy, still one would not guess what awaits in the third part.Let me say this, without actually mentioning what happens in the end: I think there are 2 ways of loving, 1. to live happily with your loved one, and 2. to express how much you love, your loved one, no matter what. Which one is more important? Maybe sometimes the second ...

People could perhaps interpret this story as being childish and unrealistic..but that's where the screenplay holds it's head high and never lets you think for a minute so. Only french guys are capable of developing such beautiful surrealistic screenplays ( a la 'Amelie') which the Hollywood movie makers would never like to step on.The director influences our emotions so easily that we get hypnotized by the narration . The leads are perfectly cast with their chemistry makes our eyes glued to the screen whether it's a scene where they play with their love lives in a childish way or when they were fighting each other. Marion Cotillard beautiful as ever, steals the show with her performance that you can't take eyes off her.Beautiful movie with one of a kind of romance that you'd see for years to come. Don't miss this one.

Thus, a typical European artistic film... Directing and photography are OK, actors are good, the rather artificial plot has some interesting twists - but it is not the film giving you background thoughts or that you would like to see again later. The characters are no role models either, besides, such types of persons would never "grow up" or have children... It seems that the makers wanted to create something very different and quaint, so much non-Hollywood, that they somehow forgot about an average audience. But the world is full of sophisticated films for only a few thousands of happy viewers...5 points from me as I did not expect much either, the result was even slightly better than I expected... And the film is not lengthy.

This is the most crazy, wild, mean and freaky love story I have ever seen. The full movie had an unusual kind of grip over me. The 'are u game' feeling between both the lead characters and their will to go any distance to complete their game adds a new thrill to the love story. Its a mean love story with egoistic lovers who wouldn't let themselves being hurt by the other. They even don't care if the other person live or die( remember the train scene). It shows two people who do not care about the world(they do not care about their marriages for sure). They live life like a game and do not mind if their actions hurt anyone. They get addicted to the game they have been playing from childhood.I particularly liked the last 15 minutes when they finally rediscover love and peace. The glimpses of future and past flows through their mind. If you like out of the league stories, then this is a must watch.
