That was an excellent one.
... View MoreDisappointment for a huge fan!
... View MoreThe performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.
... View MoreA great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.
... View MoreA man preoccupied with reading his Wall Street Journal goes into an antique store looking for a one-year-anniversary present for his wife. The old lady behind the counter gives him a bottle of perfume and warns him that it is "powerful," but he doesn't listen.....hence the quote at the top of my review. The surprise occurs when Mr. Strait-laced Businessman (as evidently portrayed here by cartoonist Bill Plympton) sees what happens after his hottie wife gets a whiff of the perfume.I don't want to spoil the ending. Suffice to say, other people enter the picture, such as a business boss our man wants to impress and it is pretty funny what happens, even if it is predictable. You'll laugh out loud in the last 30 seconds......guaranteed.This was another enjoyable early ('80s) Plympton cartoon (animated short) that was part of the DVD titled, "Plymptoons: The Complete Early Works Of Bill Plympton."
