The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.

It's simply great fun, a winsome film and an occasionally over-the-top luxury fantasy that never flags.

Catched the middle of the movie with my mom, had me in tears the entire time! Grandpa got karma which was my favorite part. This movie was beautifully executed and deserves way more than 10 stars. This was such an emotional and faith bringing experience. I loved every single bit of it. To understand the full grasp of this movie, it was just an emotional taking experience. It's all there is to say to it. The dedication is immense and the salute to the fallen soldiers was absolutely magnificent. We do not deserve this movie, it was so beautiful. The boy, Henry, has such an amazing voice, and the fact that niceness and generosity is present throughout the movie makes it such a worthwhile movie.

I was totally disappointed towards the ending sequences. The big reveal left me wondering just who did the research on Military and their families.Anyways, moving right along ... The delivery fails so dramatically I find it hard to give this fluke a better rating til I see it a second time to see if I missed something. The story hits all the right notes. Faith. Loss of faith. Failure. Redemption. Faith regained and the ending with all the soldiers standing watch and giving assistance boosts this story back up ... we are never alone. But it isn't enough of a boost after the wooden performances turned in by all the actors. For that I blame a lack of inspired direction and giving this excellent story i high rating after a failure of performance would reward a director wrongly.

I came across this film purely by accident but glad I did! Although its on the lower end of the budget scale compared to other big movies, it has a great story line and the cast act their parts flawlessly. I rated it 9/10, as it is one of the very few films ever that have made me shed a tear. The last half hour especially is very emotional and I agree that it is one of the best film endings I have seen. The combination of...a father fighting in Afghanistan, a mother who is rehabilitating from drug abuse and a young boy who wants to live his dream by singing, really makes an excellent storyline and great film to watch. Although its maybe not everyones cup of tea, I would highly recommend it. The free- styling is amazing and the boy singing is pretty awesome as well. If you like a good weep then get your hankies out!! 9/10 :)

This is a movie that has one of the most compelling stories i've ever seen. It deals with so many topics and issues and yet its not too broad either. I was amazed at the entertaining story, great soundtrack, good acting, and overall quality of the film. The story is really where this film hits home though. Covering an array of different topics and issues while not being one bit too broad or preachy this movie is a film worth watching. Though not everything is "perfect" this movies quality and heartfelt story makes it almost impossible not to pass up anything that would give it a low rating. Watch it you'll be amazed. **id also like to note how happy I was that this good of a movie was so "clean" of "questionable content.**
