All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.

It's a good bad... and worth a popcorn matinée. While it's easy to lament what could have been...

Exactly the movie you think it is, but not the movie you want it to be.

I came into this movie part way through so close to the end was a big surprise. A feel good but poignant movie. A fine tribute to service men and women who have paid a high price for defending freedom. Watch to the very end, if you aren't moved you don't have a heart. If you are looking for lots of action this is not the one for you. If, however. You want to be entertained and enjoy music, this is a perfect fit. There are negative reviews but overlook those, just give it a chance, I doubt you'll be sorry. Maybe no academy acting awards but I thought the ssad was pretty decent and the mom looked like a lot of crackheads I've seen. Fast forward if it goes too slow but wait for the big surprise, worth the wait

I was totally disappointed towards the ending sequences. The big reveal left me wondering just who did the research on Military and their families.Anyways, moving right along ... The delivery fails so dramatically I find it hard to give this fluke a better rating til I see it a second time to see if I missed something. The story hits all the right notes. Faith. Loss of faith. Failure. Redemption. Faith regained and the ending with all the soldiers standing watch and giving assistance boosts this story back up ... we are never alone. But it isn't enough of a boost after the wooden performances turned in by all the actors. For that I blame a lack of inspired direction and giving this excellent story i high rating after a failure of performance would reward a director wrongly.

Writer slash director Lexi Alexander keeps making her resume more and more diverse, and this entry certainly will not hurt. The most spectacular achievement here is that she achieves something even the best directors in Hollywood would kill for -- she takes the viewer completely by surprise at the 3/4 point in the film, with a twist only psychics and mediums could have seen coming. No small feat, that. The film has flaws here and there but overall it engages almost from the first scene and hold your attention. Again, no small feat, that.Regional singer Todd Simpson is cast as a competing singer in the story and adds sparkle, virtually stealing all his scenes.Recommended.

This movie I have to say is one of the best heart felt movies I have watched in a really long time. This movie to me is so good that I have watched it over 10 times. My husband has been deployed to Afghanistan before so this movie really hits home to me. I highly suggest watching this movie with your family because it is a great family movie but make sure you have tissues readily available! The ending of the movie completely shocked me because I did not see it coming. The singing is really good too! I do suggest that if you have little kids like ages 5 and younger make sure you use your discretion if you want them to watch.
