Exactly the movie you think it is, but not the movie you want it to be.

A clunky actioner with a handful of cool moments.

This movie isn't *that* bad. Sure Hasselhoff cheeses up every scene, heck all the dialogue for all the actors is cheesy, but otherwise it is just standard direct-to-video fare. Oh, and was Rod Steiger desperate for cash or what? It just shows that you need to treat your agent with respect, folks. Otherwise they will get back at you by putting you in stuff like this. Regulate your Hasselhoff intake to small doses and you should be OK. Still, approach this film with the caution warranted when someone tells you it "isn't *that* bad".

I just sit and wonder sometimes that people out there are spending their time writing nonsensical movies of the calibre and then submitting them for production. I suppose the scariest thing bit is when somebody reads these scripts and gives it the green light. This film sucks quite a lot. No - it sucks loads. Hasselhoff is funny. You half expect him to talk into his watch at any moment and summon the help of his Trans-Am. The plot is thinner than a cigarette paper and the acting is sub-Baywatch standard. David does a fair bit of running tho (which is nice to see) but that is about the height of the excitement in this movie.Avoidance is critical. Unless you have watched every other bad movie ever made - this includes Strictly Ballroom!!! 102 minutes of my life have never felt so long. Vive la Baywatch!

Hey folks,I have seen this movie and David Hasselhoff is, well, David Hasselhoff. He's a pretty bad actor -- despite his many obvious good qualities (looks, chiseled body, hair).Anyway -- there are many many scenes in the movie that take your breath away. Seeing the ruined cities from the eruption of Mt. Pinutobo on the island of Luzon in the Philippines is a fantastic, albeit sad testament to the power of nature. The movie was pretty hokie -- but at the same time relatively authentic. They shot most of this on location in the Philippines and I must say that they were pretty authentic with what you saw. I was impressed. I had visited many of the places they shot the film except for the area where they visited her grandmother's town.I give Donita Rose *** stars, and David Hasselhoff **. Neither of them acted pretty well, but with a bad script, what can you expect. The sights and sounds were amazing and authentic, Donita rose is awesome to look at anytime, but the movie just falls short of any expectations people may have about this movie.Watch for the scenery and some of the cinematography, (and to catch a glimpse of the Asian bombshell Donita!) But other than, don't waste your time.Vanran..

An American war photographer helps a young Eurasian woman find her father she's not met before and gets caught in a web of intrigue and danger. This movie has an excellent war scene introduction that unfortunately lapses into a long meandering chase with little to sustain the viewer's attention. The peek into Filipino life in the suburbs of Manila is interesting but most of the acting borders on the mediocre. I'm not sure if this is an accurate reflection of the Philippines, but the movie certainly does not help the country's image of lawlessness (especially with the recent spate of kidnappings we're seeing). David Hasselhoff is not necessarily a bad actor, but he's so typecast from the days of Knight Rider and BayWatch that you can't imagine him being anyone else. There is a lot of action and the pace of the movie is relentless, but the script is listless. Another downside is that there is so little chemistry between the lead actors and actresses you wished you'd had spent your time watching something better.
