... View MoreWhilst this film relayed more on imagination than original analysis of the text, there are a few 'good' moments in it. In the first 10 minutes we see Sir Lamorak. His scenes are perhaps my favourite in the whole film, his acting is one of the only redeeming and believable features of this film and really do earn him a place on the poster as well as on the big screen. Why was he not cast as the lead? I feel like we should all keep our eyes on Tomos Gwynfryn Evans as he begins to rise up through the ranks and onto the Silver Screen. His striking looks are reminiscent of James Dean in his early works. He tells the anguish and hopelessness of the world in his eyes and looks natural on the screen. Following on from the death of King Arthur, the film lost it's way and fell off the wheels due to the struggling acting and bad sets. I hope to see more from this independent studio, but for me it fell short of what I wished for. Also... I thought this was the one Guy Richtie made...

... View MoreKING ARTHUR: EXCALIBUR RISING is a terrible British indie fantasy flick made to cash-in on the new release by Guy Ritchie. It's a lamentable effort from beginning to end and one of the worst I've ever seen. The story takes ideas, themes, and characters from the Arthurian myths and throws them into one lengthy, dragged-out whole. The general look is of a budget GAME OF THRONES, with some bloody kill scenes here and there and lots of wooden acting. The look is mildly convincing but there's virtually no story here and not enough to sustain a half hour short, let alone a full-length feature. Towards the end a guy who is the spitting image of Gandalf the Grey in THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING turns up and of course you know he's meant to be Merlin. Mere words cannot describe the badness of this production.
... View MoreAs you know I'm a big fan of King Arthur stories and I've read books, watched movies and played video games about King Arthur.I have seen this movie and I felt disappointed in this version of King Arthur Now to summarize the story plot. This movie is about King Arthur who gets killed in battle and later on Owain gets arrested by Mordred and killed and thrown in the lake. The Lady in the water gives the Excalibur to Owain and he goes on a quest to over throw Mordred and the Witch in the castle and he seeks help from Merlin the Wizard.I was surprised with the amount of bloody violence and strong profanity this movie contains.Parents and sensitive people, Be warned this movie has mature content and it is violent, has disturbing content, contains strong profanity compared to "Game of Thrones" or "Braveheart" and this movie is not for kids so you've been warned. It's too bad this movie "King Arthur: Excalibur Rising" was very bloody, violent, has so much swearing. It could've had more story in it and been done better. This could've been a great "King Arthur" movie even for a low budget movie. The music score was very beautiful and exciting like you would expect from a movie soundtrack. If you want a good "King Arthur" movie then I suggest watching "The Sword in the Stone" or "First Knight" or "Knights of the Round Table" 1953, "Quest for Camelot", or "Camelot" 1967.
