One year after their initial encounter, Kazuya Kinoshita and Chizuru Mizuhara remain connected through the rental girlfriend app. During a heart-to-heart conversation, Chizuru reveals her intention to quit her current job to pursue her true passion: acting. Though the two want to maintain their relationship, Kazuya chooses to support Chizuru's dreams. When Chizuru's first performance receives attention, Kazuya is impressed with her talent and stage presence. However, he becomes anxious after learning that a well-known director has expressed interest in her. Fortunately, Chizuru informs him that the director chose someone else due to her perceived lack of ability. Despite pledging to financially support Chizuru by renting her weekly, Kazuya becomes increasingly confused when his ex-girlfriend Mami Nanami unexpectedly reappears. This causes him to hesitate and complicate his promise to Chizuru.
