Plot so thin, it passes unnoticed.

A bit overrated, but still an amazing film

Excellent characters with emotional depth. My wife, daughter and granddaughter all enjoyed it...and me, too! Very good movie! You won't be disappointed.

The film may be flawed, but its message is not.

Making this type of film is no small feat. It is no surprise that someone of Jerry Bruckheimer's caliber was involved. The directing alone by David McNally was outstanding although it was different or not what I expected. This movie turned out to be super lighthearted and more for kids. Nonetheless, I found it to be quite adventurous and entertaining just the same. Both Jerry O'Connell and Anthony Anderson were outstanding. Plenty of comedy with these two guys. Good buddy film overall.

Unimaginative, unfunny, and unbelievably tacky. Most of the film is focused on the two guys and the only reason Kangaroo Jack is even in it is to make the film go faster and to bring humor, which failed horribly. The two guys aren't even that entertaining either. Just a bunch of fart and sex jokes with bad delivery. It's a boring movie with a dumb plot.

The people responsible for this should be tried for crimes against humanity. The whole premise of this film* is based on an urban myth. Thats not the only myth. That this is a film is a myth. If it seemed to be aimed at kids it would still be no excuse for the effort we are shown. I know there are lots of dumb guy movies such as any L&H and Dumb and Dumber which is a masterpiece in comparison. The two main characters were instantly dis likable and remained so throughout. I cant think of anything else, it depresses me too much. *film = entertaining and professionally made cinematographic art.

I watched this the other day and actually found it pretty funny. Although it is nothing spectacular, there were some good moments. However, there are some geographical errors that i feel i need to correct...the two protagonists arrive in Sydney, and depart by jeep, bound for coober pedy which is about 2500km away, a lot closer to Adelaide. They then somehow go via Alice springs (which for some reason looks like an old western town). Alice springs is north of coober pedy by about 1200km and if driving from Sydney they are coming from the east. It seems that the writers have just plucked some random names of cities and put them in the story. It isn't a big deal, but seriously, if i want to go to Miami, i don't fly to L.A then drive there via New York...Just saying. Alice springs is also a large town with around 30 000 people. Now that this is cleared up, although the plot wasn't very new or creative, it still made for a good story, even though it was entirely predictable at times. With the exception of Estella Warren, the cast was good. I like Chris Walken's character, albeit a minor role for him. The film has some good laughs in it...even more if you know anything about Australia. Would recommend if you are bored and it is lying around in your house for some reason.
