Instead, you get a movie that's enjoyable enough, but leaves you feeling like it could have been much, much more.
... View MoreBlending excellent reporting and strong storytelling, this is a disturbing film truly stranger than fiction
... View MoreThe movie's not perfect, but it sticks the landing of its message. It was engaging - thrilling at times - and I personally thought it was a great time.
... View MoreThe movie really just wants to entertain people.
... View MoreReally disappointed based on the potential of this movie with the cast assembled. So many great actors put to waste in this this completely unfunny agonizing film. Didn't even seem like any of the actors wanted to be there as they forced their way through their performances. Script was awful with barely a laugh throughout.
... View MoreWas this a great film, no, but it was totally enjoyable to watch as I knew it had to be considering the cast. Not just Jones & Freeman, but Jane Seymour, George Wallace, Joe Pantoliano, & Glenne Headly in her final film. Sure it's a play on a plot that's been done before with a few twists, but with different players always different. If you want an hour & half of entertainment and aren't predisposed to think old folks are has beens, check it out.
... View MoreA two-hander action comedy in the vein of Midnight Run (1988), about an ex-F.B.I. Agent (Tommy Lee Jones) and an ex-mob lawyer in the Witness Protection Program (Morgan Freeman) having to put aside their petty rivalry on the golf course to fend off a mob hit. Just Getting Started seemed so promising but failed to deliver on all levels from acting to characters to all. Jones seems old and can't even walk straight, Freeman tries hard to get comedic and it's sad and above all great careers and actors get flashed down the toilet. (0/10)
... View MoreA woman wearing an ankle monitor in New Jersey sees Duke Diver (Morgan Freeman) on TV and orders a hit on him. He is the resident manager of a retirement community. He is the proverbial rooster in the hen house until Tommy Lee Jones shows up and challenges him for top honors. Rene Russo enters the picture as each man wants to "court her."The film was a light situational comedy, reminiscent of the 60's era. Good "clean" entertainment that has adult themes and situations. Guide: No swearing, sex, or nudity.
