I'll tell you why so serious

It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.

The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;

It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.

Often hailed as one of the worst serials- I'm watching it again for the the first time- mostly because I picked it up by mistake.Its a 1945 released film set in 1939 about Nazi's in the jungle trying to use the natives to take over the world.Its done on the cheap and is more than slightly racist, but its very much of the sort of thing that Hollywood did at the time. I'm not defending it just explaining. It's amusing in a way that most serials are. The trouble seems that its a bit too juvenile and the recaps of what happened are deadening when watched in rapid succession.its a lower tier serial- enjoyable but trash
