Before I write one thing, please let me say that I love Shah Rukh Khan! I think he is a wonderful actor and just his facial expressions alone in a movie have sold me on that. So, this is a good movie and SRK makes a great Samar Anand, both as a civilian and a Major, but there is something about this movie that won't let me give it a higher score. I can't quite put my finger on it. It may be the differences in ages between SRK (Samar) and Katrina Kaif (Meera) that I struggled with, both in real life, and in the attempt to make them look closer in age in the movie.Shah Rukh Khan has always looked younger than his actual age to me, but the 19 year age difference between he and Katrina Kaif was difficult for me to put aside. Granted, if I was an actress in Indian movies doing my first kissing scene, Shah Rukh Khan would be my pick, but even so, I think someone maybe a little older than Katrina Kaif could have been a better fit for the movie. She didn't have to be his age, but possibly have a few more years on her. Samar always looked much older to me than Meera in the whole movie, especially when he was supposed to be 28. I didn't have a problem with Anushka Sharma's (Akira) age because she was meant to be younger than him, and there was no actual romantic relationship between them.I did like the story and the ending, and I was very glad that Major Anand didn't get blown up at any point in the movie. I kept waiting for that to happen and was going to be really ticked off if it had. :-)Over all, it was a good movie and I enjoyed it, but I do think another actress (and I don't mean Priyanka Chopra) could have made a better Meera and had better chemistry with Major Anand.

i have seen almost all the movies of SRK. He and his heroine always have great on screen chemistry which portraits well to the audience and almost all of his love stories are excellent. in this one i didn't see any on screen chemistry between SRK&katrina. they didn't act well to show they were in love. Well i don't think it was SRK , he is the king of Romance. Katrina didn't have any expressions on her face. always same plastic face for every emotions. Maybe thats why they didn't portrait that in the movie. I felt Anushka and SRK had more on screen chemistry as romantic couple than SRK and Katrina. it was really awkward to see.

It's a long time since I've seen a pure love story. Though it is a triangular love concept, the third vertex in the figure, Anushka Sharma, cannot be looked as an unnecessary part of the equation due to the way she breathes life into her character. Songs composed by A.R.Rahman have his touch and as is the norm, listening to them the second time is more enjoyable. Katrina Kaif is truly a British beauty with her flawless skin and her Hindi accent is kinda cute. Shah Rukh is the passionate lover as always. It is inconceivable that a rich and polished girl of upscale London falls for an odd job man and street singer, that too on one kiss alone, at a metro station. But what the heck, it's a Bollywood Yash Raj movie! Story dragged for a while but Anushka's re-entry in the second half is entertaining with her witty comebacks and tomboyish gestures. The medical condition of SRK ( retrograde amnesia) and his two accidents with memory retained from the first accident and Katrina coming after years to help him are so..so.. well, I wondered how SRK and Katrina were going to get back together. Overall, watch it if you like love stories and A.R.Rahman!

Since the release of Jab Tak Hain Jaan, I had been told to watch it. "It is such a great move, Yaar.", "Qasam se Yaar…. It is very good film.", they kept telling me, followed by consistent follow ups whether I did or not. Eventually I decided to give it a try. It was horrible.Dear Shah Rukh Khan fans, When Shah Rukh Khan is in a movie, it doesn't automatically make it a good movie. It is a fact of life that you have to deal with somehow.Adding to my shock was Katrina Kaif's performance. It was the first Katrina Kaif movie I watched, I think (unless I have seen one that was so bad that I no longer remember). She may be 'hot', if you are into that kind of thing, but as far as acting is concerned…. she is not!Read more on my blog: http://goo.gl/x2riQ6
