Fantastic, real touch to feelings, one of the best way to feel the family spirit. And you can't stop your tears falling down while watching Mark Ruffalo.. Definitely one of the best movie that you can ever watch if you want to have a real emotional touch to your heart... Be ready to smile and cry at the most unexpected time...

Novice Writer-Director Maya Forbes has made a touching film based on her family growing up; which features her bipolar-disorder diagnosed father. Forbes' "Infinitely Polar Bear" stars Mark Ruffalo as Cam Stuart, a bipolar man from Boston who has two young daughters and is currently semi-separated from his wife Maggie played by Zoe Saldana. When Maggie decides to flee to New York to pursue her Masters' Degree, Cam is left with the grandiose responsibility of taking care of his two daughters Amelia & Faith. Forbes hardly includes any huge dramatic scenes of the ill effects of bipolar disease in the picture. What she does include is the daily eccentricities of a man with a mental disease carrying task after task of caring for his daughters and all the challenges behind it. The only hiccup I have of this is that subtly Forbes does not incorporate much how horrific it is to live with a mental disease as bipolar disease, obsessive compulsive disorder, etc. Nevertheless, this film is really the vehicle of Mark Ruffalo, as he once again shines infinitely in a character. Mark has made his mark as one of the best actors working today. Zoe Saldana was very solid as Maggie. And Imogene Wolodarksy and Ashley Aufderheide were outstanding as respectively Amelia and Faith. So get on the Polar Express, and go infinitely to "Infinitely Polar Bear". **** Good

Infinitely Polar Bear is a wonderful movie that delves into the world of mental health. The movie revolves around Cam Stuart who was diagnosed with manic depression in 1967. Cam loses his job and is hospitalized for having a nervous break down leaving behind two children, Amelia and Faith, and his wife, Maggie After completing his time in the hospital; Cam struggles to gain the trust of his wife once again. As a perfect opportunity arrives, when Maggie heads off to New York get her degree in business, Cam proves to his wife and children that he can be the father her once was. Along the way people categorized him as an unfit father simply because of his manic depression. Through trial and error, and many breakdowns, Cam prevails, proving that he can take care of his daughters by himself, defying the stigma that comes along with mental health. This movie shows the true testament of human strength. When you care about someone so much, you will do anything to protect them, love them, and keep them safe. It shows the message that people with mental health are just like anyone else, they sometimes just have a higher hill to climb than others. I think that the film accurately captured this idea through it excellent acting, as well and dramatic points that nailed the message. The best part about his movie was that it was all relatable. There was nothing about it that seemed fake or out of this world. Even if you don't understand what its like to live with or know someone with manic depression it provides a great look into that world. Overall the movie was wonderful. I would recommend this to anyone who knows someone personally who has manic depression or for someone just wanted to know more about it. It s a drama filled movie with slight hints of comedy that help lighten the mood and make the experience worth it. The movie had a very documentary type of feel so it is understandable if you don't like them that you might not enjoy the speed of this movie.

From a strictly review on the story line, content, performance and direction, this movie should have put Mark Ruffalo in the category of Tom Hanks. This film is a project Hanks could have done and easily been nominated for Best Actor, as Ruffalo should have received. While Ruffalo has made a nice living in the film and TV business, he is still not a household name. What a shame. For the numerous years he has been working in Hollywood, enabling him to live in a nice neighborhood and drive great cars, he is unrecognized by the average person until his stand-out roles are mentioned. In the film Infinitely Polar Bear, Ruffalo has shown his audience he is capable of strong leading roles that can warrant Best Actor nominations. His history shows he co-stars opposite major headliners, but he is secretly a headliner himself. That role has not presented itself yet. This film depicts the life of a Manic-Depressive. If you have lived with someone who has it, then this film will definitely hit home. If you have not, this film portrays only a "glimpse" of what takes place in the life of someone with mental illness, well written by Maya Forbes and portrayed by Ruffalo.Ruffalo deserved an Oscar for this performance. He showed many different sides of a person with mental problems. You hated him at times, felt sorry sometimes but loved him for the sweetness and struggles he had inside.I first really noticed him in Spotlite, but will not forget him watching his under-appreciated performance in Infinitely Polar Bear. He is a Best Actor performer waiting to happen.
