This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.

Its an average, middling comedy by Chris Columbus. An afternoon with nothing to do should be utilized with this film, nothing more. (Boring and redundant)

I had watched this movie around four to five years ago from now i.e. 12/18/2015 and that time I was not familiar with IMDb.com , and used to have very limited access and understanding of English Movie and English language because 4 to 5 years ago my English was not so good as it is now. Despite of above 2 factors I had really enjoyed this movie but a few days ago when I came across the rating of " I Love You Beth Cooper" movie I was surprised because this movie is far better than the rating it got on the IMDb. So I decided to watch it again and I did watch it again on 12/18/2015 @ 2 am @ Friday and I must say that to me this movie is as good as it used to be 4 to 5 years ago. Whenever I watch a movie , I do not think whether this is realistic or not , the thing that matters to me most is that whether it entertains me or not and in case of " I Love You Beth Cooper" It really entertained me . This movie really have some light funny and feely moments. This is my First review on IMDb.com for a movie and I wrote it because this movie is better than the ratings and reviews suggest. For me it is 10 ********** Stars. "I Love You, Beth Cooper "

Warning This Review may contain Spoilers When I first saw this film I was expecting a film that would simply be full of large belly laughs and maybe a witty line or two. What I got was a teen film about growing up and realizing that sometimes reality is different than fantasy and sometimes surprisingly better. The film's lead Hayden Panettiere has the makings of a young Kate Hudson. She is able to make the most outrageous situation in this comedy seem plausible. The film's main premise is a valedictorian professes his love to Beth Cooper during his speech as well as make jabs at other characters as well most notably Stratford native Shawn Roberts as Beth's built army boyfriend. The film begins as a comedy but it is a comedy that likes to bring out little moments of drama. Small touching scenes that Ms. Panettiere handles very well. This was absolutely not the film that I was expecting. I liked it better then I thought I would. However it still has faults. It is a little slow towards the end but a great little scene on a dock brings everything right back on course.Overall it is definitely a film for the thirteen and over crowd but even adults can find a thing or two to like in this film.
