The biggest problem with this movie is it’s a little better than you think it might be, which somehow makes it worse. As in, it takes itself a bit too seriously, which makes most of the movie feel kind of dull.

Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable

As with previous installments in Housefull franchise, this follows the same template with all characters coming together in same house and then there is confusion, chaos and comic situations arising out of those. The story doesn't hold much value in a slap stick comedy so skipping that part and coming to the characters and gags directly. The problem here is that most of the gags in 1st 45 minutes fall flat. Funny moments start once Batook Patel (Boman Irani) starts testing Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh and Abhishek Bachchan for pretended handicap by them.Batook Patel (Boman Irani) uses word play which falter most of the times and sleepwalks through his role of a Gujrati man which he has played innumerable times in such slapstick comedies. All 3 girls Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri and Lisa Haydon suited their Characters of glamorous looking Dumbo girls who in order to maintain their Indianness translate English phrases literally in Hindi to evoke laughter which worked at some places and fell flat at other depending on the situation in the movie. However the director gets the casting right with them because of their accented Hindi even in real life plus the requirement of the role is that of Bimbos and hence no need for great acting chops.Jackie Shroff plays a Stylish dreaded gangster and a doting father with aplomb. Riteish Deshmukh was underutilized. He has been a major asset to previous movies in this franchise. Abhishek Bachchan was decent with his deadpan humor in role of an aspiring rapper.Chunkey Pandey as Aakhiri Pasta is completely wasted. He was hilarious in first two movies in Housefull franchise. The standout performance comes from Akshay Kumar who can be easily termed as the one having the best comic timing amongst the current crop of Lead actors. He is shown to be suffering from Dissociative Identity Disorder and once he becomes Sundi, he is riot with his walk, the way he talks and the funny expression he maintains with wacky behavior. Akshay Kumar is the heart and soul of this movie.Sajid-Farhad who are directing Housefull movie for the 1st time have done just about decent job, but they overdo jokes and stretches them killing the impact of the gag or jokes as they did in their 1st directorial-Entertainment as well . Director of Previous 2 movies in Housefull series –Sajid Khan, would certainly have made these gags funnier and crisp.Overall it's a good time pass flick if one ignores the buildup that took almost 40-45 minutes and is not averse to slapstick comedies. I would rate it 6 plus 1 rating extra for Akshay's superb performance as Sundi.

This film is not even close to the other two Housefulls, the casting was good and the story could have been better. The "Housefull" part of the movie was really short and the comedy wasn't funny at all times. What they tried to do is bring up real names of the actors and actresses which just isn't always funny (although it is a few times). This movie just didn't have the felt like the other two did. This one really stands weak against the other two. but if there is one very good thing about this movie are the songs. They are very good and not boring at all.Overall movie was OK (could have been better) but it's a good past time and definitely worth a watch if you liked the other two housefull.

Reviewed by: Dare Devil Kid (DDK)Rating: 1.4/5 starsHousefull 1 was a very funny movie, no two ways about it. Unless you're a really difficult person to please that movie would have made you laugh. It almost made us think that Sajid Khan, with all his shortcomings, could at least give us a decent laugh (then Himmatwala and Humshakals happened), and the film's box-office performance sparked off a franchise. Housefull 2 wasn't as funny, but it had its laugh-out-loud moments (courtesy Akshay Kumar and Johnny Lever), and you at least walked away from it amused. Housefull 3 is just one God-awful mess that even Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, and Boman Irani, with all their impeccable comic timings, cannot salvage.Let's begin with the plot…wait a second – what plot, which plot, there is no plot. Comedy sketches on TV have better plots than this. Random gags (that are funny only according to Director-writer duo Sajid- Farhad and their co-writer K. Subash) and a few repetitive set pieces constitute the entire film's screenplay, that's it. Sample this – for some strange reason, most of the movie revolves around a massive garden lawn, the façade of a palatial mansion (not even the mansion itself), and a wax museum that looks straight out of a Dharavi ghetto, which bring you to the question, what was that massive budget of the movie utilized for?The rest of the story (for lack of a better word) revolves around how Akshay, Riteish, and Abhishek feign being lame, blind, and mute to gain favor with Boman and marry his daughters Jacqueline Fernandez, Lisa Haydon, and Nargis Fakhri. Enter Jackie Shroff, and our three dudes have to interchange their disabilities to impress him because it turns out that he's actually the girls' daddy dear. In all fairness, this presented a recipe for genuinely funny comedy, but all that Sajid-Farhad offer up is one harebrained, unfunny gag after another. As for the gags, they oscillate between three notes – unfunny, cringe-worthy, and pain-inducing. There are films where the jokes fall flat, and then there's Housefull 3, which makes you want to break into an impromptu standup comedy act just so that your fellow viewers could leave with some small dose of laughter for the money they've paid. Thankfully, the makers have steered clear of homophobic jokes or below-the-belt humor this time. Sadly, they also have seemed to stay away from the jokes, too. And the songs, well, suffice it to say that they have a reputation to uphold in keeping with the rest of the film. When a Director makes you miss Sajid Khan's skills, or rather the lack of them, behind the camera, you know that something has gone terribly wrong right from the scripting stage to the final finishing touches. And, just so if you get lured into that pointless argument of leaving your brains at home and just enjoying some brainless entertainment, then ask yourself – how can something be entertaining if it's already being declared as brainless. Jacqueline, Lisa, Nargis, and Abhishek, and Jackie Shroff wander aimlessly through the entire movie while Akshay, Riteish, and Boman do their best to salvage this mess, but when each line in a comedy fails miserably, the plot is in total shambles, and the jokes are something even six- year olds would find juvenile, then what could expect even good actors to do. Even Aakhri Pasta – one of the highlights of the first two films – makes this one look like an unfunny raasta.

This is s**t,pure s**t in the highest form of the word. This run-of-the-mill,relentlessly stupid comedy movie will now enter the 200-crore club, and I simply don't understand how. This is so full of unfunny jokes which will not make anyone laugh or even smile, but will make everyone groan.Boman Irani has black housemaids, and when someone sleeps with them,he tells them "tumne muh Kala kar diya" Hahahahaha. This is the type of overrated crap which Bollywood is riddled with.Acting is horrible even with such talented actors. Why Akshay Kapoor is on this is in this I have no idea,he doesn't even use his 'player' persona to his advantage. There is nothing good in this movie,it is all a colossal s**t-show,totally unfunny and horribly written. This movie pretends to have a plot, but it doesn't.It is just a bunch of songs tied together with bad jokes. The joke is on them this time.
