Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.
... View MoreThe acting is good, and the firecracker script has some excellent ideas.
... View MoreGreat story, amazing characters, superb action, enthralling cinematography. Yes, this is something I am glad I spent money on.
... View MoreThere is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes
... View MoreMy family and I enjoyed this film. At first I was thinking it was going to be very similar to "Front of the Class" (the film based on the true story), but it turned out to be a little different, mainly because the culture in India is different. The film was more about the students than the teacher's Tourrette's, although that was a consistent anchor in the film.
... View MoreHichki is Rani's come back to cinema after a 3 year absence since she became a mother. Well, She did a great job and the movie was focused on her that I really didn't feel the rest of it. The movie has some plot holes , weak scenario that could have been better and weak performance by the whole class but for one or two with a very slow sequence but overall a good movie for Rani to come back despite being a little boring!
... View MoreThis movie is a must watch if we wanna bring about a change in our society and if we want to bring people from different classes together. It starts at a school because that's where the first education of a child begins. We need more teachers and principals like Mr. Khan and Ms. Naina Mathur. Ms. Mathur, as a teacher, brings out the best in her students by first understanding what each one is good at and making them realize their talent by themselves. She also proves to us that a disability can never stop you from pursuing your dreams, no matter how impossible they seem. It was a delight from the moment it began right till the end. I recommend it to everyone. Naina's enthusiasm and Rani's acting skills make this film a pleasure to watch.
... View MoreOn the first viewing, I was too distracted by the simplicity of the plot, the characters' need to pontificate all too often and the old-world Bollywood technique of emotional manipulation to tug at your heartstrings. I found it to be an average film. But after a second viewing (which I was drawn to for no conceivable reason), I was moved by the story and the connection between the characters came across in a much more effective way. The teacher does not seek to impress/command to the students but be like a guide and inspire them while being "at their level". Don't be fooled, the film's power is in its simplicity.
