Halloween H20: 20 Years Later Trailers

Two decades after surviving a massacre on October 31, 1978, former baby sitter Laurie Strode finds herself hunted by persistent knife-wielder Michael Myers. Laurie now lives in Northern California under an assumed name, where she works as the headmistress of a private school. But it's not far enough to escape Myers, who soon discovers her whereabouts. As Halloween descends upon Laurie's peaceful community, a feeling of dread weighs upon her -- with good reason.

The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.

Since I've been torture with part 6, H20 is so fun like it's a fun fast pace movie. Good story, good acting, good pacing, and fun! They could of end it here but nope they decide to make another one and I have to say that one suck too. In my opinion this is the only good Halloween film of the 90s. This is a good sequel, go see it now!

20 years later, Laurie Strode is living under a new alias and is now working as a teacher at a college. However, Michael Myers has come back to Haddonfield in search of Strode after learning of her new alias. If that weren't bad enough, Laurie's son is being watched by Myers. But, this time Strode is tired of constantly running from the boogeyman and she's not gonna take it anymore. She's ready to face her greatest fear head on."Halloween H20" is the seventh film in the Halloween franchise and it's surprisingly fresh for that number. The overblown plot of Michael being involved in some crazed Kool-Aid cult has now been dropped, which is a wise move. Instead, he's brought back to his roots as just a crazed maniac hiding under a mask. Jamie Lee Curtis returns as Laurie Strode and gives arguably her best performance in the whole series. Her character has grown leaps and bounds since we last saw her in "Halloween II". She's much stronger and more willing to fight for what she loves. She's no longer the meek, teenager she once was. If there's any complaint with "H20" it's that it's not as scary as the films before it. The influence of Wes Craven's "Scream" can be felt all over this picture. Instead of going for all out scares, "H20" instead has more of a fun feeling than anything. That's not to say fun is a bad thing, but in certain scenes the intensity of the original feels a little watered down.Despite it's flaws, "Halloween H20" is a very strong entry in the Halloween franchise. It's smart, fun and has some good scares, and isn't that what Halloween is all about?

I'm not saying I hate Season Of The Witch,I loved it,it's just that if you think about it,this is the real Halloween III.First, the good,Jamie Lee Curtis, her character is well written and well acted, this movie is the perfect closure for her,and it's even cooler that this movie was all her idea. The kills are cool, and there is still some good suspenseful scenes. The acting is good, and I like all the horror movie references. My last and biggest pro,the ending,it was perfect and unexpected. Now,the cons,I think that the movie feels a bit too dated,it could have been a bit longer, and there isn't enough Michael. My last con,is the fact that the previous three movies are completely ignored! That means that so many fans were just left out.Otherwise,Halloween H2O is a fun movie that should have been slower.

On Halloween night in 1978, Laurie Strode managed to escape a killing spree by Michael Myers. 20 years later, Laurie is still traumatized by the events. As a result, she faked her death and changed her name to Kerri Tate to run a private school. Growing tired of her mom's obsession with Michael, Laurie's son John plans a special get together with his girlfriend Molly and his friends. Michael Myers returns to try to kill what he wanted to do 20 years earlier, kill Laurie Strode. I wanna get this straight before I get into my lengthy criticism. I don't dislike this sequel. As a matter of fact, it's rather entertaining when I ignore all the faults it has. After Halloween 6 destroyed the series with the god-awful thorn storyline, the series was in need of new direction. It starts off well enough. It opens with Mr. Sandman and the opening is suspenseful. Many people wanted Jamie Lee Curtis to make her return to the series, myself included. My main problem with this movie is that it's not mean enough. It tries so hard to be hip and in tune with the horror movies that were coming out. What this series needed was an old-school approach that was genuine. Everything about this movie just felt disingenuous, aside from the beginning and a few homages to the original. Another problem I have is the lack of genuine suspense and tension. The finale is OK, but it's not exactly scary or tense. Don't expect much gore either. (Though, gore isn't really Halloween's forte) We get a skate in the face, a slit throat, stabbings, someone's leg is crushed, but not much else.Jamie Lee Curtis is excellent in her return to the series. Despite the below average script she has to work with, she makes the most of it. She's a shell of her former self, living in fear all the time. The events in 1978 have traumatized her for the rest of her life. I felt Laurie conveyed all these emotions perfectly. She deserved better. Josh Hartnett is really good as John. He's very likable and played someone you can easily root for. I felt for him at times. It's a shame that Halloween Resurrection chose to ignore the character of John. I wanted to see how he was handling life and what came of him. Michelle Williams is rock solid as John's love interest. She's an underrated actress and I enjoyed her performance. LL Cool J provides the comic relief. We could have done worse with someone in his role. (*cough, Busta Rhymes, *cough) Adam Arkin is a tad whiny as Laurie's love interest. I didn't really care for his character. Michael Myers himself is kind of weak in this one. The mask wasn't very intimidating. It's not really Chris Durand's fault, he just didn't really feel like The Shape to me. Janet Leigh has a small role here, but it's very cool. I loved the homage to Psycho. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is in the opening briefly as a punk teenager. This could have been an epic sequel, but it was not to be. Despite all my problems with it, I still watch it at least once a year. I'm a huge fan of the Halloween series, and I still find it to be enjoyable. Just make sure your expectations are in check. 5.5/10
