This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.

its special beauty remains in memory for long time. because it has the gift to be a special story. about love and compassion and sacrifice. but, in same measure, about a decision. who remains provocative and strange and almost accepted by the viewer at the end. a film almost magic. for the atmosphere and dialogues and delicacy of gestures and delicate way to build an universe. a film about miracles. and about the need of the other as the only way to live. a film about happiness. and about new beginnings. in fact, a testimony. about the essence of joy and the circles of pain, about the other as reflection of yourself. maybe, a little gem. for images and performances and the way to yourself.

Honestly, I got really disappointed in this movie, specially after the trailers that I watched before the full version, the screenplay and the customs were very attractive. yet, it didn't get long in watching the movie to fell into deep satisfaction and even dismay. Even though the story line and the idea of the movie pretty powerful and dramatic, it still looks that the director for unknown reason for me failed to deliver it. without enough events into the flow of the movie, the gaps between the scenes get wider and more obvious, it's as if we're watching the unfinished version of the movie because of the abrupt cutting of the scenes. the argumentation of the cause were very primitive and pathetically emotional, GOD! I've never seen an advocate could got emotional as Mr Mascarenhas's had been, this week spot made the whole show fall apart. Guzarrish is like a work that we'd like very much to submit it but we can't digest it because it is put on sheer raw materials. there's too another thing, I 'd understand the time-place context, it was quit confusing and the one can't get to the bottom of it; we have English places and sites, Spanish custom "Sofia D'Souza", and Indian constitution and population... what's really all of that is about. We're not trying to be measure with traditional movies criteria, we can definitely accept the fantasy drama section, but this movie even though it tried really hard to show some aspect of this approach, it got very disturbed with it.

Sanjay Leela Bansali is among those who feature predominantly at every award ceremony for the kind of hype they create around their work and self promotion they indulge in than for the quality of their work. Most popular Indian award ceremonies are farcical at best and the films & people who win such awards seldom represent the best of the year. I expect Guzaarish and Bansali to be at award ceremonies this year too making words lose their meaning by basking in unworthy praise. If Sanjay Leela Bansali's previous duds like Devdas and Saawariya made you cringe, Guzaarish outdo both in that aspect. What saved an average movie like Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam or Khamoshi was the music, but here the audience are even denied that reprieve and Bansali scores music that is as dead as the movie. Like the protagonist of the movie who is dead below the neck, the movie itself is dead from head to toe and smells decomposed. Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai are not known for their histrionics, but even that cannot excuse them for this performance. To be fair, Hrithik could be excused in that he at least makes an effort to cast off the weight this pitiful characterization, but Aishwarya in her Gothic costumes and grotesque make-up cuts such a sorry figure that you feel more pity for Aishwarya the actor than Hrithik's character. As with Devdas or Sawariya or Black, it is clear that the most effort has gone to the look of the movie than its soul. Nothing wrong with that, if it succeeds or elevates the film. Alas that is not the case here. Even Priyadarshan packages his inane movies very well, but he makes no bones about it and do not take his movies seriously. However Bansali's fetish with the look & color of the movies goes so overboard that we unintentionally share Hritik's relief at being outdoor when the camera leaves the interiors and ventures out on his way to the court. The whole movie has the look of a vain fat ugly man dressed up in very expensive cloths that absolutely do not suit him. Spoiler alert -------------So for a man who is bankrupt with no money even to pay his nurse, Hritik lives in a house that would fit a king with some funny taste in interior decoration. He has no money, but there are three dedicated live in staff at least. For someone suffering all kinds organ failure and needs periodic dialysis, there is not even trace of puffiness to his face. He look like a model in a furniture shop Ad. Even the constant reminder about his quadriplegia does little to evoke any sympathy or feeling for his state because of the way Ethan is presented. Watching this movie is like flipping through a interior decor magazine while waiting at the dentist- there is no emotional attachment. The only difference could be that you will happily chose the dentist over this movie any time.At a time when Bollywood is finally coming out of its formulaic past, at time when a novice director like Zoya Akthar makes a thoroughly assured directorial venture with Zindagi Na Milegi Dubara, a veteran like Bansali is fast digging up his creative nadir. There are still worse movies than Guzaarish, but such movies are under no illusion of what they actually are. Bansali's preoccupation and fetish of confusing package with the product has come to stage where he honestly believes he is doing something great. I am sure Bansali will soon handle the camera, art direction and all aspects of film making himself as he will find his vision at odds with rest of the creative team. Producing his own movies and watching the movies himself will be the logical conclusion this preoccupation.

Guzaa-rash Sanjay Leela Bhansali should give more emotions into the scripts and the actors than the frames. This director is focused mainly on the art of the frames and their colors. Always inspired from several films (Black was inspired from The miracle worker, HDDCS from Woh Saat Din, Sawariyan from White nights ), This movie lifts several scenes and the major part of plot of the nurse and a lawyer friend from 'The Sea Inside' , the tragic accident due to magical rivalry from 'The Prestige' to Hritik Roshan's look from 'My Left foot'.The movie opened very poorly showing Aishwarya removing curtains with a overdone fake makeup of such a deep red lip-sticks that made her a misfit and a poor judgment. Bhansali once a good storyteller, needs a real script justifying the characters and the end of the story. Aishwarya's performance was pity and you may wonder that it's from the same director who gave her a fantastic look and lift in HDDCS. She failed to show the emotions and still has an influx of portraying a beauty. Her moans were as fake as it could be, will surely give Junior AB some nightmare. There were so many tears and emotional scenes (on screen) but none of them will give single goose bump or a wet eyelid. The movie missed the connection with audiences. The reason for a quadriplegic to die looks so kiddish the very next second he cracks a witty line and smiles. The whole plot is like a half baked cake done with some great icing. The courtroom and courtroom was indigestible and added more weakness. Shernaz patel and Suheil Seth were quite OK in their little roles. However, much hyped junior actors Aditya Roy Kapoor and Monikangana Dutta failed to deliver any expression. The blunt look on their face and an unnecessary casting took most of the film's precious moments. While the lyricist Vibhu Puri has a shade of Gulzar, with the lines of Sau Gram Zindagi and A.M. Turaz's Udi is worth listening. Another song "roses are red" at the funeral was well sung and composed. Although Bhansali didn't do a great music composition like the way he did in the previous films. The song 'Sau gram Zindagi' has a shade of yesteryear.Coming to Hritik- the actor was good enough for intense emotions and failed miserably on the subtle performances. All the magic were unreal and full of dances. The Director was out of bounds while showing the magic in dance/art form and it was too straight from the dream world. The patchy flashback took the content from the scripts. Kudos to Hritik for choosing the challenging role, but who wouldn't?
