Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.

Part 3 is silly fun & pretty ridiculous lol it has really stupid characters that you want to die but it's ok fun but not one pf the best of the franchise but pretty damn good!!! Part 2 was Excellent & this what abit of a let down after that film but it still has some charm but the disco score is terrible lol bad music!!! A weird entry in a Great franchise that i love but still watchable & still a fun little slasher

Friday the 13th Part III: 3D is surprisingly a really good movie it is not a bad slasher it is a great movie like I thought it was. It is one of my personal favorite horror movies. It is my second favorite film in the franchise. This movie is the most scariest of all of them. The first time I watch it as a kid I was scared to death of the film. The first time and the second time around I hated it but now surprisingly watching third time around I enjoy it. The 3D thing was really a bad idea but the plot and the story was really good and I like the cast. This was the second sequel that it was directed by Steve Miner. I have fun with it and I have enjoy it I love this movie to death and it come closer to my heart. It is now my third favorite Friday the 13th film and it was really hard to decide because I like almost all of them except 2 films I hated but the rest 10 films I liked a lot. Dana Kimmell as Chris Higgins the final girl and the heroine was a bad-ass and really beautiful and the cutest girl actually she was little better then Amy Steel in Part 2 tough I love Amy Steel. Richard Brooker did really great as Jason Voorhees, R.I.P. he is really missed and he really did a great performance. The movie has also a biker gang in here in which Jason kills them one by one. Nick Savage was good as the leader Ali he was knocked by Jason, but on the end of the film he saved Chris from Jason, in which Jason cuts his hand. We had a good kills good death scenes and I really think in my opinion it is better then Part 2. Many fans has stated that this film copy's Part I and II, I disagree with that that is not true! It is a true sequel to part 1 and 2 and it strictly loyally follows the formula from first movie. I love the boat scene on the end in which Pamela Voorhees attacks Chris and run her over the boat on the lake, that scene was fantastic. Yes it was similar scene from the first movie in which young Jason jumps over and run over Alice on the lake this is just the opposite of the film I loved that.I love that Jason Voorhees dons his iconic hockey mask for the first time and I know the movie doesn't show Jason putting ice hockey mask on his head. But we see Shelly (Larry Zerner) with a harpoon spear gun in his hands and ice hockey mask then in next scenes we see Shelly going to the barn and later we find Shelly with a slashed neck that's how Jason got his mask he take it from Shelly. The final showdown between the heroine--one Chris (Danna Kimmell) of the cutest and most likable in the whole series and Jason (Richard Brooker)--it is excellent and great well done executed. Chris slams an axe in Jason's head right in the mask that's scene blow me away.I love also the actors beside Danna Kimmell and Richard Brooker in here that did really a well done job as the supporting cast: Catherine Parks, Larry Zerner they were great couple. Gloria Charles, Paul Kratka, Cheri Maugans, Kevin O'Brien and Nick Savage I love this cast in here. I love the atmosphere in this movie it is more windy and no it is not set in the summer it is set in autumn it feels more autumn time. Dana Kimmell is a tough sexy girl and she doesn't get scared of Jason she kicked his ass twice and I have enjoyed this movie I love it. The music score and 3D effect were a little cheese in my opinion but the movie surprisingly I loved it and it is a classic movie to me! Allan A. Apone did a great special make effects for Jason and I like some of the kills and the eyed balls also this movie does not have so much sex scenes unlike part 2 has but it is way better then Part 2. R.I.P. Richard Brooker, Gloria Charles, Steve Susskind, Perla Walter and David Wiley you are all missed. Score: 10/10 get's my score Bad-Ass Seal Of Approval it is my second favorite film in the franchise and it did not failed me I love it to death. To me is a classic sequel I love 80's horror movies and this one is really a suspenseful good movie.

If my reviews for the previous two "Friday the 13th" films seemed overly critical, it's mainly because I know how much fun the franchise can be at its high points and I firmly do believe that those first two films are among the lesser-entries of the series. They're important for starting and building up the mythos. And they are definitely notable in the world of horror. But still... they can just never quite measure up to the insane meta-fun of "Jason Lives." Or the dopey thrills of "Freddy VS Jason."But "Friday the 13th Part III"? (Also sometimes known as "Friday the 13th 3D") This is one of the good ones!Director Steve Miner returns to captain the ship once again this time around, as Jason survives his devastating injury seen at the end of Part 2 and returns to Crystal Lake to hunt down a new group of friends who have arrived to vacation for the weekend. The blood flows red, limbs are sliced away, skulls are smashed into oblivion... now in glorious, dated 1980's 3D!Oh, and the cherry on the top? Jason finally gets his trademark hockey-mask! Huzzah! (Which ain't spoiling anything, trust me.)Part of the great joy of this film is the obvious giddiness of the production. The pacing is quick, there's a lot more attention placed on humor and jokes, the gore is ramped up and director Miner revels in the new ways that the 3D imagery can augment the image on- screen. It's just so charming to see what is obviously a director having a blast exploiting the technology available to him as much as he can. Miner seems like a kid in a candy shot behind the camera in this entry. And on the 3D. It's oh-so-gimmicky to the point of being absolutely delicious. It's used so much that it becomes frankly hilarious, with every-other-shot throwing something right in your face. While this may sound frustrating, when placed in the context of the 1980's, it does have a very endearing nostalgic quality. It's a wonderful little time-capsule of what was "cool" and "hip" back in the day, and the fun memories it brings up add even more to the charm-factor that the movie oozes all too often. (And yes, I did say a horror movie about a psycho undead-killer is charming. Because it is. Very much so.)The script is also pretty darned swell this time, and it is easily and by far the best-written entry of the series until the wonderfully self-aware Part VI. The pacing is near-perfect. There's a lot of really good elements and through-lines that run the course of the film and give it a very solid foundation. And it boasts the best- written characters... perhaps of the whole franchise. You know you did a good job writing a generic slasher movie when the obvious annoying jokester character Shelly (Larry Zerner) actually manages to make you root for him when he "defeats" a group of biker- bullies... and then tugs at your heart-strings a bit when we see him crestfallen after learning his crush might not like him the way he likes her.All this praise being said, it's not a perfect film. The first act is a bit slow to start with a few too many gags that feel contrary to the later portions of the film. Some of the effects are cheesy to the point of taking you out of the film. (I'll just say keep an "eye out" for one particularly bad gore-gag.) And while it is entertaining, I could definitely see some audience members being turned off by the constant "3D comin' at ya!" shots. But all in all, I think "Friday the 13th Part III" is one of the better entries in the franchise. It's the first one to really embrace the idea of being horror-as-entertainment instead of just horror-as-horror. And it's a great little dose of 80's cheese.I give it a pretty-good 7 out of 10.

This is definitely one of my favorite Jason movies! Whenever i watch it i make sure it's night time, I'm alone, with popcorn and 3D glasses. This is just such a great early 80s slasher movie! The acting is fine for me, but at times i can notice how bad it is. The deaths are pretty good. Jason in this movie is creepy looking. Something that may explain why i love this is when it's night time, everyone is doing their own thing, and they are slowly being killed by Jason. When i watch this, i always get creepied out, and it's really scary. This is the scariest Jason movie. So overall, this movie, along with the theme, is just awesome!
