Freaky Faron starts off well, or at least it belies it's obviously low budget with an interesting premise behind it's main character. Unfortunately It ends up feeling as though it was written by one of it's young cast members. If that had been the case, I would have thought it an excellent first effort. Alas, no. I can't hate Freaky Faron. It wasn't good, but I can't hate it. The acting was emotionless for the most part (less a fault of the actors and more a fault of the script and direction), but I don't think the premise should be abandoned. With a budget, cast, and some (a lot) of plot development, I really think it might make a great TV series or at least a better movie.

It starts with bad acting from all the cast, and cliché 'super powers' for the star. Faron actually begins to develop her character, and the plot begins to have a glimmer of getting interesting. But they never develop the 'powers'. In fact, they do not develop a single plot element that they introduce. A few interesting concepts that die almost as soon as they are introduced. The movie peaks at about a 4 (on a ten scale), then fizzles away to a 1. This could have been a 6 or possibly a 7 had there been a real script. Stupid ending. What a waste of film. The actress that played Faron actually did a fair to good job before the filming stopped, but the fact is the filming should have never started. Run away...

Just saw this movie. The acting was good, the plot boring, and where was the suspense, thriller, or horror in this movie. It seems to have been made as a TV movie for the ABC Family channel, or Disney channel. A very safe movie. Courtney is a very good actress, she moved the movie along, but deserves a better vehicle and scrip. I can not say more without giving away the ending, but there were so many holes in the plot, and not believable situations, that it was hard to even suspend disbelief. For an after school movie might have been nice, but the synopsis, and other comments supporting this movie on Netflix were misleading. I was hoping to see something scary, or suspenseful, instead, I was wishing for the movie to end.

There is no word can describe how awful this movie! The acting is actually very bad, no; it was the most hideous act I have ever saw. The cinematography is very poor to the point will convince you that the movie was filmed by an armature camera man using normal portable camera on the planet which didn't discover the film effect yet ! If somebody can stand more that 5 minutes watching this film, he/she must suffer with a severe brain damage ! I wished it had at least some nudity, & even if it does, I bet it will be boring ! If you think that you have saw a bad boring film before this one, you are wrong !what a waste of time..
