The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.

The tone of this movie is interesting -- the stakes are both dramatic and high, but it's balanced with a lot of fun, tongue and cheek dialogue.

There's a more than satisfactory amount of boom-boom in the movie's trim running time.

I am very happy to have, at last, caught this rare noir from the USA. I must admit that I never miss a Nick Grinde's movie, as I do with the likes of Robert Florey, Phil Rosen and other William Nigh. Grade B products from the thirties and forties. Fast, short and vivid stories that never make you bored. This one is not an exception. Long Horn, as usual, gave us the topic and this thrilling chase all over the country to escape from the police justifies not to miss this little gem.Of course, there is no much surprise in it, but it gives us what we may expect. There are more Nick Grinde's films to purchase. Much searching work for me.
