Fading of the Cries Trailers

Jacob, a young man armed with a deadly sword, saves Sarah, a teenage girl, from Mathias, a malevolent evil that has begun plaguing a small farmland town while in search of an ancient necklace that had belonged to Sarah's uncle. Jacob sets out to get Sarah home safely, running through streets, fields, churches and underground tunnels, while being pursued by hordes of demonic creatures. Along the way, both come to terms with the demons within themselves - Sarah begins to understand her hatred towards her mother and sister may be unjustified and Jacob discovers the secrets of his past, realizing the only way to truly defeat the demons is to return to the very place his family was murdered.

Terrible acting, screenplay and direction.

It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.

This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.

I always click the "contains spoilers" box, although I always try to avoid actually listing spoilers. But there are no spoilers for this movie. It is spoiled, rotten, and freaking awful. The first stab I took at it only lasted about 20 minutes. I had to stop because my eyes were so tired and bored that they kept trying to reach back and choke my brain. But I'm a movie fan--and a fan of bad movies. So I persevered, and went through the entire film the next time. I would like to save you that pain. Lighting, acting, action--crap. Zombies--wildly inconsistent. There can be the walking dead or the running dead or the MMA dead, but pick a zombie plague and be done with it. My advice: Given the option between watching this movie and voluntarily becoming a member of the zombie horde, you can best serve humanity by choosing the latter.

Right what would you get if you had a £10 budget, rubbish CGI people, people that have never stepped foot in an acting class, a director out of there senses and production who are apparently drunk? The simple answer is this film. No one can give me back the time this film has robbed me of. It is certainly the worst film i have ever watched, and i have watched many. I love films from many different genres, but I'm always up for anything with action, occult and horror references. This film however bobbles all over the place, between really awful acting, terrible effects and a rambling strange and often incomprehensible story. People will say this is a B movie but really it can't even merit that! the characters are so wooden i think they came pre varnished. All you are really left with is sitting there thinking, how the hell did i fall into the trap of paying to watch that? Trust me don't pay to watch it, don't even watch it when its available for free, there are many more worth while things to do with your time like counting dust particles or individually plucking the hairs from your toes!

Brian A. Metcalf has in under 90 minutes managed to use every cliché from classic the horror and fantasy movies and yet manages to go against everything that makes up a compelling movie for any fan of the genre. The script, to begin with, is a horrible mess starting off with a narrative ego within a flashback of many making parts of the story over explicit whilst absolutely impossible to engage in. The fact is that it's very hard to grasp (or care) what story line is important and which are less so until the far to drawn-out ending. The characters act inconsistently all over and the very same threats that oppose them are as often deadly in one scene to be ridiculously easy to defeat in the next. The scenography and the special effects are flat and ugly and the fighting scenes (there's A LOT of them) mainly consist of monsters running straight into swords.I think that Metcalf was aiming for a mix of "The Lord of the Rings" and "Night of the Living Dead" but ended up with Uwe Boll's "Dungeons and Dragons" mixing with "Resident Evil" (the first of the video games, if you remember the script and acting in that). It made me sad to see Brad Dourif wading around in this crap and not even he manages to be free of its stench.

The pacing of this film is the most dynamic engagement of theatrical action I have seen in quite some time. One of the main questions that had come to mind when I watched this with a few friends was the origins of the naming from the characters. We were curious about any biblical terminology that could have been potentially associated with the names Jacob and Sarah. Not to mention the whole scenario of Jacob being brought back from the dead, or rather "resurrected." Then there is the concept of having a sword that hones the almighty power of good and destroys all evil that it faces. There is a complex turn in the character mythology as the dichotomy of Jacob and Mathias is revealed by one of the strongest components of the storyline, as Jacob turns evil as the movie closes, leaving a cliffhanger of what could potentially spawn a dramatic context change if they make any sequels. It was a brave choice for Jordan Matthews to take on a role where he turns evil at the end, going toe to toe with one of the masters of evil, Brad Dourif, the voice of Chucky. I was surprised to see Thomas Ian Nicholas take on a role completely separate from his work in the comedy genre as well. It reminded me of when I begin to greatly respect his work in movies like Rules Of Attraction
