Fading of the Cries Trailers

Jacob, a young man armed with a deadly sword, saves Sarah, a teenage girl, from Mathias, a malevolent evil that has begun plaguing a small farmland town while in search of an ancient necklace that had belonged to Sarah's uncle. Jacob sets out to get Sarah home safely, running through streets, fields, churches and underground tunnels, while being pursued by hordes of demonic creatures. Along the way, both come to terms with the demons within themselves - Sarah begins to understand her hatred towards her mother and sister may be unjustified and Jacob discovers the secrets of his past, realizing the only way to truly defeat the demons is to return to the very place his family was murdered.

It's no definitive masterpiece but it's damn close.

There is just so much movie here. For some it may be too much. But in the same secretly sarcastic way most telemarketers say the phrase, the title of this one is particularly apt.

As somebody who had not heard any of this before, it became a curious phenomenon to sit and watch a film and slowly have the realities begin to click into place.

The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;

It's *that* bad. I've seen worse but rarely.I couldn't even watch it all. It would have been better if they'd made it campy and taken pride in being B rate. I can get into a well-done B rate movie that doesn't take itself too seriously. This, though, takes itself completely seriously and falls *way* short of its aim.The story isn't bad and the way they were telling it was engaging, even if the acting was, overall, pretty lame. I tried to give it a chance. Then the words "necromancy" and "necromancer" entered the script and the actors completely butchered them. It might seem trivial but I'm a word guy and for "professional" actors to butcher a word that bad means that *no one* on the production crew even bothered to pick up a dictionary to check the pronunciation.If it had been a decent movie before the pronunciation butchery then I could have tolerated it. But that kind of neglect added to an already less-than-mediocre movie was the straw that broke this camel's back.

Fading Of The Cries was never made to be an intellectual Oscar winning film. Its not meant to evoke discussion on a booker prize level. What it is in fact is a great action film. A whirlwind from start to finish. I admit I had heard bad things about it and i really wasn't looking forward to watching it. I am however very glad I did, this is no kids film as i thought it would be, but what it did do was make me feel like a kid again. If you want to watch a emotive film with content that instills thought and conversation...... go watch Gandhi or Syriana..... if you want and easy to watch fast paced fun action film... watch Fading Of The Cries!! There were some small issues with continuity but i always find them a fun part of watching any film. I saw the movie tonight and enjoyed it a lot so here's my take: Pro's: Good special effects (even though there not all done) Excellent hour and a half (the movie is probably 90 minutes in length if I had to estimate the pacing in that time period was spot on) Good combination of horror and action (I'd say more horror though say in the vein of PAn's Labyrinth, which had a good mix of horror and action). Jordan Matthews nails the swordplay...and there is a lot of it (like probably about 70 percent of the movie). Cons: There wasn't much story or character development and there wasn't a ton of dialogue (we didn't get to know the characters as much as I wanted too). The chemistry was also a bit off between the two leads, but you can't have everything (like I said, it's a popcorn movie, not an Academy Award Film). The last 25 minutes shifted more into a action (it had a nice climatic ending that I won't spoil, and it ;eaves me wanting to see more).Overall I'd give the film an 8.5/10 because it was an innovative look at a superhero other then all the Batman's and Supermen we're given a truly conflicted character who isn't fully invincible. There are many quotable scenes, funny moments, and good special effects that you haven't seen in other movies before. I expect this film to make a lot of money at the box office this summer and please many fans or people who are looking for a solid popcorn flick.

This movie is fantastic plain and simple. Any horror and action fan would agree. The casting of Brad Dourif was perfect. I don't know who could have played a better evil doer and the character Mathias is one that Brad was destined to play. His voice is just chilling. The casting of newcomer Jordan Matthews was spot on. Not only does the guy have a menacing look, but the fight scenes are brilliant, bloody, and epic. The delivery is tantamount. If i could ever be in a movie or a lead in a film this would be it. I was initially put off the idea of the movie as i have heard an awful lot of comparisons to Twilight and have read a lot of hype about that specifically, but this is so distinctly different. The only comparison is the romance between the two leads, which isn't nearly as stressed, nor is it as interesting as the battles scenes. The last fight scene between Jacob and Mathias is sick and cool. The only problem is I wished it lasted longer. I want to see this on the big screen because I fear that I will be at a serious loss if it only comes down to watching the DVD....which I have now watched 3 times in succession, ever since my visit to my cousin's home in London. My own personal opinion is that a movie should suspend disbelief, capture the imagination which this does in spades. it is truly a film that you can lose a couple of hours watching and at the end feel like you have spent a worthwhile couple of hours. I would recommend this to anybody.

This is possibly the worst movie ever made. 105 minutes of my life that I can never get back.The plot - there is no plot or story worth talking about. No explanation even to people with a great imagination where anything comes from. e.g. young boy's family were slaughtered years ago but he is suddenly some sort of super hero - why? Where has he been all this time; squatting, hiding?Acting - Even worse than the plot. I thought it was a parody at first like Scary Movie but then I realised they were actually trying to act. The direction - The scenes are fragmented and have no link to each other and thus make no sense at all. Continuity is non existent."Special" effects - LaughableRepetition - stupid boy with sword easily kills several thousand even more stupid zombies again and again and again..... Silly young girl screams a lot. Eveil guy looks like and old Dr Who and ...............well thats it.Scareyness - I only became very afraid for the cast when I realised that they didn't realise the movie was really a comedy. Verdict - Don't waste your time.
