Arthur Dichter thinks he is dying of insomnia, but the reality is much more frightening. In this surreal puzzle film, Dichter turns from his wife to a private journal to record his deepest fears. Anna knows her husband lives in a waking nightmare where delusions and reality blend, but is powerless to help him. As Arthur's disease gives way to despair, loneliness, and alienation, he and Anna hang onto their last shred of hope. This atmospheric film explores personal identity, marital discord, and contemporary life, turning narrative and chronology inside out to find the darkest corners of the human spirit. With music from avant-garde legends AMM, Art Bears, and Stephen O'Malley's Ginnungagap.

What a freaking movie. So many twists and turns. Absolutely intense from start to finish.

It is both painfully honest and laugh-out-loud funny at the same time.

I don't know if what I say would be considered a spoiler in any way so I will just say it might and mark the box just to be sure. I doubt anything I tell in a description could spoil any part of this film in any way.Fade is a very deep film to say the least. The story couldn't be told any other way and come across as powerful as it did. Writer/Director Anthony Stagliano does an excellent job of not only showing the effects of fatal familia insomnia on the main character but also how it effects those closest to him, his wife. The unique angles and music used help give the idea of what the main character is going through. You can't quite understand what exactly is going on at first but when learn how serious this insomnia is and how drastic of actions one may take under it you will be amazed, in a shocked kinda way.I highly recommend the film FADE to anyone who is interested in the darker sides of reality. Of things that are really out there but most would rather not know about.
