Evil - In the Time of Heroes Trailers

The story begins at the end of the first Kako movie. The survivors meet up with a group of other barricaded survivors and must take care of the zombies as well as other random Greeks that have taken advantage of the chaos, while shooting random moving targets (zombie or not). Throughout we take small flashback visits into ancient Greece where the zombie apocalypse has also happened and we learn how they faced them.

Terrible acting, screenplay and direction.

Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.

As somebody who had not heard any of this before, it became a curious phenomenon to sit and watch a film and slowly have the realities begin to click into place.

"To kako - Stin epohi ton iroon" is the second movie of "To kako" and in my opinion this movie is better than the first because it has many ancient dialogs between the actors who actually speaks ancient Greek and that was something which none expected to see. Again we have a big cast of actors who are popular in Greece and some of them and abroad. This movie starts from the last movie's end. These people who survived from the zombies have now to do their best to survive not only from them but also from some people who got crazy and kill them all for no reason. Finally the thing that I liked the most in this movie was the connection between the ancient Athens and Athens now days and how this connection will play a key role to the evolution of the movie.

This is splatter/comedy for a very select audience, with a lot of inside jokes and tastelessly absurd gore, but very little substance and style. This is a sequel to "Evil", a zero-budgeted amateur zombie movie that came out in 2005 and unexpectedly grew out to become a modest cult hit. The budget for the sequel was much higher, but apparently all the cast members were volunteers. "Evil in the Time of Heroes" implements a bizarre and unappealing narrative structure that constantly jumps back and forth between Athens in ancient times and present day. In both eras, the place is infested with zombies and only a small handful of people (courageous warriors in the past and random losers in the present) remain and battle for survival. Out of nowhere Billy Zane ("Titanic", "Dead Calm") shows up as some kind of prophet slash Jedi Master and he shepherds the pack of undisciplined survivors in their fight against the living dead. How about that? Billy Zane speaks Greek and appears in a crap horror movie for free? The make-up effects are often splendid and the film contains numerous very creative killings sequences, but the lack of subject matter and character development quickly gets on your nerves. The whole thing is hectic, very incoherent and desperately tries to appeal to the comic book fanatics. This is fun & relaxing for about ten minutes, but what remains is a completely immature and easily forgettable "just- another-zombie-comedy"

Firstly i'm sorry for my poor English, i'm Greek and i'll try my best to be understood..well, i am an average movie fan and i rarely watch Greek movies.. nevertheless i saw this movie about an hour ago and i want to see it again and again.. it isn't, of course, the kind of movie that will be remembered as brilliant or even as clever (i'm referring to the plot) but it's a fun movie.. and i mean FUN, like "big troubles in little china" or "pineapple express".. cool dialogs (i don't know how they look in English subs), cool action and gore scenes, weird & funny heroes, almost no plot at all. i like the special effects too... really.. they look like special effects from 90's movies and that's part of the fun too. the director does a good job focusing on the fun side of killing zombies and that means no drama, no fear for the heroes' lives, no atmospheric scenes.in comparison with the rest Greek movies, which mostly are unfunny comedies or romances or the kind of movies that critics love but they are impossible to be understood by the average viewer, TO KAKO STIN EPOHI TON IROON is far more watchable.. personally my favorite Greek movie of the decade.

Since it's the very second zombie film in Greece and it is better than the first, it makes it the best Greek zombie movie! LOL!Seriously now, although the script may seem far fetched at occasions, the characters are all fun, the humor is typical Greek (thus it may not be appreciated by foreign audiences)and there are some great scenes and ideas. It's a splatter movie, so be prepared for many gory/funny scenes. The best part for me was they included ancient Athens. It's one of the few movies that you can hear ancient Greek on the cinema and you can admire the Acropolis on its early days.If you have watched the first movie, keep in mind its budget was 10.000 euro and the second one's is 100.000 euro.
